Pegasus Rental Cars Napier

Booked in a car at short notice to travel for a sick family member. Was advised that it was going to be $69/per day.We were travelling from Napier to wairoa which is 15Km over the 100Km daily limit. For this the male insisted on pick up we pay an additional $30per day for the hire of the vehicle even after stating MULTIPLE times we would not be using this once up there and the KMs would work out over the 2.5 day hire.We have stated as per their receipt we would like to be charged at the 0.25cents per KM for if we go over the allocated amount for this timeframe. (15Km would be $3.75 additional)On return of the vehicle they have billed us for 3 full days hire which allows a total of 300Km and are not interested in providing a refund for over charge of the day hire or the KM’s.This company also works 8.30 -4.30pm so if u fly out at 9am in the morning this is classified as an “after hours” drop off where you are billed an additional $50. For a vehicle rental company working alongside the airport you would think they have better hours that also reflect timings flights start to arrive /depart in Napier. We will not be using or recommending this company to anyone!.

Easy as process. Needed couple of vehicles asap over Waitangi weekend. Called pegasus and booked it in less than a minute. Easy process, great communication via email. What can I say more than great service and no problems with vehicles... Thanks Pegasus Napier

Great vans and easy going

We rented a car last minute during the busy holiday period. The staff were really friendly and worked hard to get us what we needed - even though we only needed a 1 day rental. Highly recommended.

Attentive to my every need and have provided service beyond anything I would expect from an Avis, Hertz etc.Stayed open for me on a Sunday beyond hours and instant attention to keys locked in car are just two of many courtesies.Top notch people and my mainstay for a rental (6 or 7 times a year) in Napier.Would not rent from anyone else.BTW, I am not related to the owners in any way.

I have rented cars from Pegasus in Napier for several years. The service offered by Bing and his team is fabulous. No matter whether it is a 'late' hire or a ride to, or drop off at the airport, the result is always the same - completely reliable. Excellent rentals, so flexible and understanding when I had issues and needed to borrow the car and extend it by phone. Great service pick up and drop off and the staff are so lovely and nice, really recommend Pegasus rentals and it’s really well priced compared to others!!
