Big and new lovely looking inside,prices on some items are a bit costly,no doubt an increase over time,parking limited and congested due to construction,I think a new carpark where the old countdown was,PNSave still my goto shop.

I find Countdown has an excellent variety of items to choose from across their health, baby, snacks, spices, sauces ranges offering items other supermarkets here in Gisborne do not have.Remember to use your One Card, you DO save $$ and can get some really good bargins

Visiting home town, great to shop in such a spacious, well stocked and super tidy Countdown. It’s quality in many ways surpasses my new local Countdown South in Taupō

My go to place for everything. New store looks great!Brilliant selections at both the deli and bakery which are both manned.Nice layout through the vegetable and fruit section to the meats.Having a section just for alternative foods, eg dairy free is brilliant, although it would be great to have a bit more option of brands.Always friendly and helpful staff.

Was in there the other day, they removed plastic bags but given you nothing to replace them with for your fruit and veg, which is a problem in its self, but they let a lady and her poodle in the store with the poodle riding in the cart where the food goes. If it's a service dog it can walk, I don't need dog fur and poo on my food!
