Gentle Care Dentist

The appointment.I was looking for reviews for dentists and couldn't find any really so I am starting to do a review of this one. I have called around and all were VERY vague or unhelpful. They give you no real information on price for crowns, how long it will take, and NONE give any guarantee on their work. When you are spending thousands you want some sort of guarantee. I need serious work on my teeth - two crowns and a filling.THEN I called Gentle Care. The receptionist was friendly, professional and actually helpful she knew pricing, time frames and what expect during treatment. Price $1200.00 roughly (as at July 2012) for a crown, takes two weeks for the crown to be built and a 5 year guarantee on work! White filling $180.00+ roughly. Lumino is around $1700, Pakuranga Dental $1685.00 per crown, no info on time frame and no guarantee at all. WOW. Made an appointment for tomorrow and will keep you updated as I go. Finally some sanity in the world of dentistry...

Very disappointed as I was told I would be very well looked after, Thad to have anaesthetic reapplied 3 times as what they were trying to do (tooth extraction) hurt immensely. After the tooth was extracted I got sat up and told “no alcohol and no smoking” they proceeded to take me to the front desk and make me pay $300 for next to NO aftercare information 1 measly little cotton bud and a giant bleeding hole in my mouth (tooth extracted 4 hours ago and it’s still bleeding like crazy).

I chose this dental clinic solely based off of it's google reviews. Since then, my partner and I have had nothing but great experiences with our dentist, Justin Foo. Within the last year, we have seen him three times. I dont think we've ever met a dentist that you can totally trust and who will not purposely misinform you, just to get more money out of you. For example, when I went to see Justin myself for sore gums/teeth, he did a couple of xrays on my teeth then told me that there isnt any damage or cavities that he can see and that my teeth really just needs a good clean. If I recall correctly, it was less than $300 for the consultation, the xrays and the clean. Really affordable compared to other dentists. I was surprised that he didnt try to make me get fillings here and there for extra money so I asked him, are you sure I dont need fillings or something?". He laughed and repeated himself that all I need is a thorough clean to remove some plaque but that's about it. He added that I should get my teeth cleaned annually but nothing urgent needed to be done right now.My partner has just seen Justin today for his 2nd time so Justin took an xray of his teeth and was mortified at how bad my partner's teeth were. He took us through the xrays and pointed out 2 abscesses as well as multiple cavities. He recommended that the 2 with abscesses are extracted

I normally detests going to the dentist's but I went for a clean and a check up last week and i was pleasantly surprised how relaxed I felt and then I've just had a filling done and I almost fell asleep on the chair. I will never go somewhere else. Thank you

Justin Foo is the best Dentist, can feel that he really deal with teeth carefully.

Appointment made.I am am going to write a review of Gentle Care Panmure Dentists over the next few weeks.I have some important dental work to be done 2 crowns and probably 1 filling. I have done some research on who to visit. I have called around a bit and this is what I've found. When calling dentists reception are vague and not very helpful at all. Of the numerous places I called Gentle Care was the only one that gave ANY guarantee on their crowns - a 5 year guarantee. Lumino (numerous outlets) - none, Pakuranga Dental Surgery - none. Also Gentle Care receptionist was friendly and knew how long it would take about 2 weeks to get the crown built - the others had no idea. Also the cost needs to be taken into consideration $1200 roughly for Gentle Care and Lumino $1700, Pakuranga $1685 the last two with NO guarantee on their work. mmm...It's a bit of a no brainer.I'll let you know how it goes.Initial appointment completed and first lot of work done.Well I am happy to say the the initial appointment was great. I had been told by a few other dentists that I needed crowns Gentle Care told me that I didn't and could get parts of my problem teeth rebuilt instead. Wow. I did cross examine them on this and asked if the restoration vs crown would be as good - and yes they satisfied me that it would. Also I needed more done than I realised one front tooth and another back tooth. But now I can get ALL the work done for less than half of what I was expecting! Yay. So the work I need done is: restoration of three molars, a small filling in another molar and a filling in a front tooth.So I have had the first lot of work done today. It was the side that needed quite a bit done on two molars. The restoration of one molar was $360 and $260 for the other awesome compared to $1400+ for a single crown. The dentist and assistant were Great. Efficient, gentle and meticulous work. The work looks great, feels good and strong, when I bite down it feels natural. I am very happy. I have to wait to get another appointment to get the rest of the work done and will keep you updated.

Went to see Dr. Simon Yam for routine checkup, xrays and clean+polish (as I was recommended by my friend) - initially I was really nervous, but he was very gentle and even during the polish there was hardly any pain - it was the most comfortable I've felt having my teeth cleaned in decades! the dental assistant was also very gd and she made sure I didn't choke on any water either - highly recommended!! will be going here from now on!
