I would not recommend using this company at all. I used this company over 3 months ago now I paid a $700 bond fee and have been waiting for a refund since. I have not seen one cent of that money even after being told multiple times that it had been processed and will show within the next 3-5 days. First mistake made on their end - my details were lost within the system so they could not find anything bank account etc. Second mistake they have sent my money to the wrong bank account and refuse to do anything about it. It’s unnecessary and should not have happened in the first place. Communication is a big skill this company lack.

Be careful - I booked this company evening before pick up. I wanted the ‘pay on pick up’ option where no deposit is required and nothing charged till date of collection, just credit card details needed. I cancelled my booking the very next morning as I no longer needed the truck, however $264 was charged. I had cancelled in the morning, my pick up time wasn’t until 4pm that day. I called letting them know what had happened and was told they’d speak to the branch manager to see about a refund. I didn’t even use the truck and had no way to pay upon pick up. Nothing has been paid back. I would use this service again if I wasn’t charged and was refunded as I think that option they have to pay on pick up is deceptive.

Big ups to the team at USAVE car and truck rentals. I hired a moving truck for the weekend and the day before, USAVE were unable to make the truck available but recovered the situation magnificently, getting me a truck the following day and adding in some helpful extras like blankets etc for the move. Then when I left my airpods behind in the cab after a long day of moving apartments, they went the extra mile to get my pods back. Overall the process was smooth and the staff friendly and helpful. I booked a box body truck of 10-11m cubed and this was ideal for a small size move, and easy to drive and park even in Auckland traffic! thanks team

Easy to get too in the city, cheerful staff and very efficient. The customer service is great as the customer comes first. Clean, and a waiting area if you do have to wait. We didn't have to wait at all. Vehicles are no nonsense, and no frills. Perfect to do the job you are after it for. We chose a van for our needs. The vehicles are clean, any marks on the vehicles are checked and agreed first before you drive away. The agreement was explained to us before we left and in clear language. My partner and I were very happy with what we got, the service we recieved and we will be back for sure.

I had a great experience with USAVE from start to finish. The booking process was easy and the price was great.The office was busy when I went to pick up the car on Saturday morning but I was met with a friendly greeting and a smile and was soon looked after.The contract was well explained including insurance and charges and the handover including check of the cars condition was straightforward and professional.The car was very clean and in good condition and exactly what I had ordered.Drop off was similarly straight forward and once again I was met with a smile.These days it's amazing how some of these basic things can be lacking in a customer service experience but USAVE get it right.I highly recommend USAVE for both service and value and will definitely use them again. Keep up the great work.

We hired a high top cargo van from USAVE last Sunday. The online booking process went smoothly. We were warmly greeted by Sharnie when we collected the vehicle. Her attention to COVID19 requirements was very good. We achieved the result we were hoping for. Upon returning the vehicle, Sharnie was once again very friendly and helpful. We will certainly use USAVE Parnell again when the need arises. Well done Sharnie, you represented USAVE as a very good and enthusiastic young lady. Review written by John.

Going to echo another review as they wrote out exactly what we experienced.Would never use this company again!! Horrific and misleading communication, stupidly expensive for ‘“USave”.. you will save nothing but spare time and any reality of a stressless trip. I could literally see the fuel needle dropping as I drove well under 100km/h, because the truck tried to shake itself apart going anything close to the speed limit.. unbelievably noisy and sounded like a struggling tractor. I found the staff to be rude and unhelpful.. 10/10 would not recommend

Terrible experience, and bad customer service.* I phoned few days before picking up the truck to confirm whether it would be possible to pick up at 4:30pm, and I was told the truck would be ready at this time.* I was at the branch in Christchurch at 4:30pm on the collection day and the truck was not ready. It took more than 1:30 hours to get it ready (the office was already closed when I left).* Nobody was able to find blankets and straps, and they hire moving trucks! How come? This was one of the reasons for the delay.* After a long wait someone found some blankets and straps forgotten in another truck, only then they showed me the vehicle.* The first thing I noticed is that one of the side mirrors was broken and the lower part was missing and I was not able to see part of the road. Well, they just said it was safe to drive with the broken mirror, I just needed to tilt it a bit. I asked if they were really thinking that it was safe, and the answer was just maybe

I rented a uSave vehicle and parked it overnight outside our house. I received a parking ticket because the vehicle didn't have a 'rearward facing lamp'. Never knew such an infringement existed... Bought it up with uSave management and they said they would challenge it if I was unsuccessful. I was unsuccessful so passed the batten on to them. 1 month later, with no feedback from uSave, a $50 admin fee was deducted from my credit card by uSave and refused to acknowledged that their vehicle wasn't up to standard. Further they simply forward me the infringement to pay.If your using this company, DO YOUR DUE DILIGENCE on the vehicle your renting otherwise you'll be stitched up like in was ($150 for the fine and $50 for uSave admin fee for them to tell me I had a fine because their vehicle wasn't up to standard)

I had a terrible experience with USAVE... I will NEVER use them again. They double booked their trucks so they upgraded me to the next size up, unfortunately they changed me for the upgrade then argued when I questioned being over charged... Their website showed $129 per day but they charged $215 per day then told me their prices fluctuate" depending on demand... I dropped the truck off after hours and couldn't find the lock box so I locked the truck up and left the key in the glove box assuming they would have a spare key... However I over estimated USAVE... It turns out they don't even have spare keys to their own vehicles. They were argumentative and defensive... VERY POOR SERVICE... NEVER AGAIN"
