Speight's Ale House
We accidentally stumbled upon this place while looking for a place that served early dinner in Wanaka. It has a very spacious dining and drinking area. The food, as far as we can remember, were very good considering the fact that they specialise in beer rather than food. We'll definitely consider going back to Speight's Ale House if we are ever back in town.

We dined here on Tuesday night, with my partner. It's a funky space, the staff were super friendly and very accommodating to my partner's coeliac requirements. Really enjoyed the meal!

It’s always slightly tricky taking our autistic daughter out but our server charlotte was amazing. I’m sure she didn’t realise but letting us know about slight changes to our daughters meal before it arrived changed and giving us a time of how long before our meal arrived was just perfect!

Service was awesome and quick but did not enjoy the food (2 x beef burgers and 1 x veggie burger). We all agreed burgers were very dry and the veggie burger was tasteless.

A great restaurant with really good food. The atmosphere was nice and the wait staff very friendly. Their signature dish of the lamb shanks was amazing. The seafood chowder was a little salty but still good. I really recommend walking to the end of the street for this restaurant. Also for the Chinese tourist they have a bilingual menu.

Very good and dependably consistent with the food quality. There were six of us and they served us quickly and the food was very good. The staff were polite and responsive to our requirements.

Booked through first table and don't regret it. Most items are very very nice but quality wise would be worth half what is being charged, at most. Especially at $48.00 for a 250g steak meal...
