There wasn't much going on . However the civic building is now being sold of as apartments and its looking the best it's ever . Just wondering why we didn't get to choose what happened to our building. I thought tax payers owned it and now it's being sold of provetky. It also stated that there was no problem with overseas investors owning a apartment. That there was no need to have nz citizenship to aquire one . So therye up for grabs to anyone from any country .

Lovely place to escape the busyness of the city. Always something happening. Shows, exhibitions, street performers. Old and new buildings. Vibrant colours. Great place to take some time out ❤️

It's a busy place next to the main road in the city ( Queen street).The square is right on the subway station, the bus stop beside. There are many convenience stores, food and drink shops nearby.This place have activities in the winter.In all seasons the pigeons and seagulls are always here. They are not dangerous but be careful when you have food in hand.

Well big enough area and seating around the grassed areas/ concrete areas. Awesome for the Peruvian Rocoto fiesta on the Waitangi weekend.

Such a pretty place to visit after dark, love the lighting on the buildings. Nice place to sit and watch the world go by.

They usually have fun events there over the weekend. It was fun and not too crowded during the afternoon. Family friendly.Make sure to check it out.

Outdoor skating rink, Matariki Festival singers and dancers, and a Matariki market in the Town Hall. Plus food trucks. Great place to be today!
