Great park to play fetch with the dog and have them run around. At back of the park has a very steep step filled walking track that leads down to secluded bay.

Unfenced off leash dog park. Gets pretty boggy in the winter, so bring your gumboots. There's also a nature trail which leads you down to the beach with about 200 stairs

Great walk if you're looking for some stairs to climb 241 down to the beach, 237 up the other track and then back to the beach and climb back up to where you started from . All done in 20 minutes and a great little workout

.(01/2018)A big reserve located next to Himalaya Reserve.This is one of the reserves covered by Waikowhai Walkway.It can be easily spotted from the roadside and has big Opened Stone Sculpture near the entrance.Well maintained. You may spot small groups sitting and enjoying on a sunny day.A free leash and dog friendly reserve.One can easily access the beautiful beach down the walkway from the entrance and track is well maintained all the way to the Beach. Surprisingly there is no name provided for this beach yet and it is referred to as Beach on the directions.Seating and benches are provided at regular distances.Lot of viewpoints with dedicated viewing areas and seats can be found during the walk in this reserve.There is no dedicated parking area available for the reserve despite its big size although ample street parking can be found at the entrance which is time bound on school days.Could not spot any public restroom in plain view at this location.
