Kaiaua Beach
Kaiaua is a no thrills beach but that's what's so good about it, it's basic. You go there, take it easy. It's relaxing has food options, fishing, places to stay but in the end there's no fancy pants five star this and that. It's relaxing because it simple. Plus you get all the bird wildlife at no cost!

Parked up beside beach, tide in and water about 25 meters away. Sun is shining its a glorious day. You can freedom camp here, rubbish bins and Portaloo's provided by council. Bit of road noise as park up area is directly adjacent road.

A great day out for Aucklanders! About 60km from the city centre on the Firth of Thames coastline. You will be greeted with crystal white sand, amazing turquois shallow sea, long and hazy Coromandel range across the firth in the horizon makes it a picture post card scene. Fantastic sea food café with a range of yummy food and an ice cream shop for the coolest range of ice creams on earth makes it really a worthwhile journey.

Bird watchers paradise. In the migrating season there are many motorhomers and vOther vehicles here to watch the different and abundant birds present. So happy to see so many people loving nature.

Just went to Kaiaua for fish and chips lunch. Can recommend, really good eating, lots of choices and reasonably priced.
