A Grand View Backpackers

Definitely the worst hostel on our trip. No kitchen except for a microwave in the hall, no place to eat except outside, no WiFi, no heating. We stayed there for a pretty cold night in summer (just 9 degrees Celsius) after coming back from the Rakiura track with plenty of wet clothes and the room had about the same temperature as we were the only guests so we couldn't dry our equipment. The owner got pretty unfriendly when asked about how we can get the room a little warmer and told us there's nothing she can do about that. Way to expensive for what is offered. The view is pretty good though

Exactly as expected! Very affordable, clean and tidy. Welcoming host. Excellent spot - less than a five minute walk from the beach and pub, with a truly 'grand view'. Thanks for having us!

2 chambres dont une avec une vue splendide et le soleil, l autre est beaucoup moins chaude je pense.C’est très propre avec le minimum pour cuisiner : une bouilloire et un micro-onde.

Nice house from the outside and nice view, but not really a backpackers at all: no kitchen, no heating (none!!! Not even a small heater for the room!) , no WiFi, no place to sit with others, no key for your room, second person to shower ran out of hot water, rather unfriendly/unhelpful owner and way to expensive for all that!

Not a backpackers at all. Just a microwave and a fridge. Barely hot water for one shower. Balkony has a very nice view but its unsafe because of the broken railing. Way too expensive for what you get.

Lovely little summer house with friendly and welcoming host. Free eggs and bread for breakfast.Bed could be better, both sinking into the middle but still a great experience
