CAMP WELLINGTON

Really nice camping spot, every spot has his own camping table. Very clean and good showers and big kitchen and lounge to hang out. Internet is included! We had a great with Simon!

Nice campsite with a good value for money:- the 6 campsites are grass sites and unpowered (take it into consideration when opting for it)- facilities are clean and large (women have one separate shower in the bathroom, men have a bathroom and unisex shower cabins / bathrooms). There is sufficient space for everybody.- lounge is spacious and you will find everything you need- view on the bay is beautiful and you are relatively close to the city (approx 15 min drive without massive traffic)- Simon (the manager) is extremely friendly and helpful.The concept is a bit different though and you should be aware of it before choosing to stop over at Camp Wellington:There are a couple of residents living there and quite a lot of the facilities are divided between residents / non-residents. You need to empty the lounge by 9 pm and showers are only available between 7am and 10 pm.If you are hostile to such kind of concept you will probably not enjoy it that much.

Great campsite with clean and tidy facilities. There are 3 bathrooms with one being big and mixed. The kitchen has all necessities and the lounge is big with always a good LP playing. The staff is respectful keeping the place tidy and helping whatever is the case. Only missing thing is a dump site for campervans (closest one is 8 minutes driving). Price is right, would stay again and recommend to a friend.

couldn't be better! extremely affordable for wellington, simon (who runs the place) is an absolute champ, and it's peaceful yet only 15 minutes to the cbd. the living room is fantastic, too. if you're looking for a great site in welly, you've found it! pic is the view from the site.

I have stayed at Camp Wgtn on two occasions in my camper van and have totally enjoyed the time here. It's idyllic in many ways. The closeness of the sea the unspoilt beauty the historic surrounding buildings really do provide a deep sense of tranquility. It really is a magical place not to be missed.The Amenities are really great strong showers very clean bathrooms with both paper towels and air hand dryers. They have a large lounge area and kitchen, pool table as well. It truly is a place to be experienced . It's been my favourite camp ground to date. Simon is a great chap very friendly and is committed to customer satisfaction. He also has a depth of knowledge on all aspects of camper vans.

This was a great place to stay. The view across the harbour was amazing especially at night and the surround area was quaint with a really great cafe right next door. The campground was well maintained, the lounge area was just so cool!Simon was super friendly and made me feel super welcome.I'm going to capitalise the next bit to emphasise that I'm telling the truth... THESE ARE THE CLEANEST BATHROOMS IN ANY CAMPGROUND I HAVE STAYED AT.

Loved it. Peaceful and beautiful. Lounge area is amazing and quiet with lots of little fun games to play and the kitchen is very functional. Bathrooms were nice and clean. Simon is a super friendly host and top bloke! Trust his recommendation for the beer at Garage Project!!! Thanks ☺️

Very friendly welcome and tour around on arrival, the lounge and kitchen facilities were incredible! Be aware there are also residents living and sharing the communal areas with you so just make sure your respectful. The views from the powered site were stunning - can see the whole city and your also right on the shore! very cheap for what you get and in such a lovely setting!

Absolutely wonderfull place. Very small campsite with a great community feeling run by a super nice and helpful fellow (Simon). The location is in a hip area across the bay to Wellington city with fab views of the city and sunset. There is not much traffic near the site, except for the odd airplane, which is very infrequent and doesn't bother anyone, and a cute penguin colony, which we unfortunately didn't get to see as they were all gone fishing" the days we spend. If you get a spot consider yourself lucky! We need more places like these..."
