UnbelievableExperience #1I decided to take advantage of a MusicWorks special offer on the Yamaha P-125. The store owner said he didn't know anything about the sale, refusing to verify the offer with MusicWorks HQ. He said I should go online to get the offer myself if I really wanted it. He ranted about how special offers made by his franchise are not fair on him. I then called the Hamilton Branch of MusicWorks who said they would be happy to honour the deal along with free freight. I thanked them, but still needed to think about it.That same day I posted my negative experience online as a Google Review for the Palmerston North branch, also mentioning the helpful staff from Hamilton. A few days later I deleted all my negative comments because it's a local store, and everyone is entitled to a bad day every now and then (I didn't know how to delete the whole post).Experience #2One week after deleting my previous review, I decided to return to the store. This time I was fairly certain I would buy the Yamaha P-125. I was happy to put the past aside. The owner did not feel the same way, and confronted me after recognising me as the author of the previous review. I was surprised, but fine with that. If you write a review, then own it. I told him I had already deleted the previous review in the interests of fairness. We then had a very frank discussion. Most of that discussion consisted of the owner ranting some more, contradicting himself, and telling me to let him keep speaking. He obviously has frustration issues, which he didn't mind admitting. I was still happy just to forget the past and move on. I pulled out my wallet and literally said I'll take it

I had a little trouble finding Beggs in the Gap 101 Arcade on Broadway but it well worth the hunt! Helpful, friendly and informative service, thank you. The shop has an amazing array of instruments and lovely displays. The small sign at the front of the arcade is easily missed.

Amazing service. Was able to fix one of our Bari sax's whilst we were on tour with a tight time frame as we had a concert that night. Super helpful with loads of knowledge and a great sense of humour. Highly recommend!!

I have brought many instruments here.. piano, guitars, recorders, violin, Amp.. I had a Ashton Blue guitar..end story it broke, and I removed as much from it including the pre amp. Was going to put it in my Yamaha Steel string acoustic. The guy helped me by checking the battery...and checking the box if it was working. He saved me ruining my guitar as the preamp wasn't working. I have always found Beggs friendly..over these 12 years I been dealing with them.

Best service and expertise in Palmy by a long way. Incredibly helpful and well informed staff who are all professional musicians themselves. Always walk away with a smile.

Was told better/cheaper getting offline, so was confused as why does the guy run a shop. I came over from Tararua, Saddle Road to palmy once in a blue moon, seen stuff store online website, yet not in the shop. What a water of petrol! BEGGS down graded to a small outlet.
