Real interesting little tour, the 2 volunteers really knew their stuff and great an interesting overview of year history of the house. Nice walks around the area too.

Visited today with my youngest daughter and my 8 and 6 year old grandchildren. My daughter and I had visited several times before but it was the first time for the grandkids. Pleased to say they were captivated by this lovely place. Keep up the great work! Thanks. Steve

Lovely house run by volunteers. Well set out in period display. Entry fee to enter on limited hours. A surprise to visit at the Wenderholm park. Go if you like colonial nz history.

What a neat place! It is a bit difficult to find. You have to go all the way to the end, and park there under the trees, otherwise it is a bit of a hike from the bottom entrance.The owners were very friendly and helpful. You can choose a guided tour or self guided. There were so many interesting things to see. It's amazing to think this is how people lived.The surrounding gardens are pretty, and there are lots of walking trails as well.For only $5, you can immerse yourself a slice of New Zealand history

Amazing house to visit from1860 with lots history plaques around to keep ypu informed. Volunteer lady was very knowledgeable about the families who had lived there...worth a visit if your in the area. Once visited the house you can have a walk around the amazing park or take a picnic and spend the day.
