Fox Glacier Car Park
This is a great short walk over glacial ruins to see an active glacier. The views of the steep cliffs and mountains is spectacular in the late afternoon with the sun and shadows. Overall the glacier isn't super impressive and you can't get that close to it, but the walk and the views are well worth a stop if you are driving through on a vacation.

2hr return walk. Steep slopes at the end, before the glacier. Easy walk if no altitude sickness.

I gave it a 4 star because it is a great reserve and nature. Just a shame the glacier has been reduced so much over the years! Worth visiting!

It's a parking lot.. The glacier itself is a distance away and getting smaller. Nice trek, but not as impressive as it surely must have been earlier.

Yes, it's a car park, but it's the start of a nice walk up to the Glacier viewing point, great to see nature at its best.

Nice easy track to the beautiful Fox Glacier. Some walking on river bed, some on track on edge of mountain. A few bits are a little steep, but most fitness levels can make it to the spectacular views. Plan on 60 minute return and you'll be fine.

Plenty of parking , up to date info re wether, dangers . Handy warnings Along the track to keep you safe.. the view from the park is also breathtaking..

Great view. You really need to take waterproof hiking boots and waterproof clothes. The drive up is fine, but the walk is very uneven. Weather can change quickly, so check the forecast

The glacier has receded quite a bit in the last years. I'd recommend a helicopter tour as you're won't be seeing much from the ground.
