Urban Kurl Avondale has literally saved my curls! Josephine and her team are awesome, they have so much knowledge about curly hair and never felt judged by the team. Went for my first curl hydration session in Sep and from day I walked about with a new curly hair routine! three months later went back and my hair is in such a great condition that I was able to colour my hair! Thank you so much team.. there’s so much I didn’t know and your products have been so good that my curls are looking better by the week! See you next month

Booked my partner in for a curl therapy session for short hair. Urban Kurl Studio did an amazing job for him. The male hair dresser there gave him extensive advice on how to care for his curls and gave him a great cut. His hair looks the healthiest it's ever looked. It's so nice finding a hair dresser that knows how to cut curls, and cares for them. Highly recommend! My partner will be back for sure.

Got my daughters hair done with Josephine and her team. Josephine showed us how to look after my daughters curls. She made my daughter highky reccomendand I feel so at home. Highly recommend

Update: we had not received notification of any phone call on our phones before this review, but received a call shortly after this was posted. The salon apologised and asked to re-do my partner's hair. Much happier with the final outcome.Went with my partner - we both have curly hair. My stylist did a good job and did what I asked. My partner was given a small trim, way less than he asked for, and heaps of styling. When we emailed to let them know we weren't happy, there was no response. Pretty terrible service, and the most expensive trim ever (we paid for a full cut). Ridiculous, when you have to pay a 50% deposit to book, and they won't even respond to email.

I highly highly recommend this amazing business to anyone that has a natural curl or wave. I truly believe that these amazing human beings are absolute LEGENDS.I have naturally thick, course curly hair all of my life. I'm in my mid 40's and I never liked my natural hair ever. I did everything I could to have straight hair (chemical straightening, iron straightening etc).But I decided I'd like to try and see what I could look like in it's natural state but done by a professional.I randomly saw a Tiktok showing Urban Kurl and that was my light bulb moment.I had an event coming up, I wanted to look gorgeous and I made my book.Their Website is very clear, concise and succinct. The best place to learn about your curly hair and how to look after it. Carla has trained a super talented team so I know I'm always in good hands no matter who I see and I always leave feeling (and looking) incredible. Such a chill, friendly vibe in store and always playing the best tunes too.

Incredible and wonderful place. They pampered my 4 year old daughter, checking in with her through out the process and walking through what they were doing. They did such an incredible amazing job with her hair. The other hairdressers were working so hard displaying serious skills. They were super informative as well. The process of booking was very easy which I was gratful for and they were such a lovely team. I would recommend again and again. Thank you!

I can not recommend this place enough! Dealing with curly hair is challenging and often exhausting and you need an expert to handle it. Kolio was my stylist, my second time with him and he is absolutely amazing. He's skilled, very talented, and very very nice. I felt very comfortable the whole time and the results were amazing, every time I've been there I walk out in disbelief that my hair can look that good. I 100% recommend them, these are curl experts.

My session was very informative and relaxing and definitely felt pampered. Will be going back again. It's great to have specialists that cater to curly haired people. Fully embracing my curls. I love it!!!
