Love this place. We like to go in and grab the ham and cheese roll that is super delicious- so fresh and the addition of the pickles and mustard sets it off.On a beautiful day, you can take your food into the nearby botanic gardens and eat.

This is such a great grocer/cafe; honestly they have some of the best sandwiches in the city - I love popping past to pick up a sandwich for lunch if I am nearby (the egg sandwich is amazing, and the peanutbutter/kimchi sandwich is also a winner).They also have a great range of local and artisan grocery items.The local wine range is great here too.

The best deli. Packed to its gorgeous gunnels with a selection of New Zealand made craft goodies, and a perfectly curated selection of North Canterbury wine. My go-to for gifts. Egg sandwiches are sublime. And the buttery, crispy hokey pokey biscuits should possibly be illegal, because once you have one, you can't stop. You've been warned.

I love Frances Nation.Their rolls are to die for and coffee is excellent. I have bought other products too and have never been disappointed, be it artisan bread, cheese, speciality oils or anything else.Service is great, even personal delivery when I ordered online!Sadly I can't do my volunteering at the Arts Centre at the moment, due to Long Covid. When I can, I'll be heading straight into Frances Nation.

What a lovely cafe and shops. Not far from home so we took scooter into the art center and found this lovely cafe. The spot at this beautiful old Canterbury Uni buildings complex now the Art Center offered ample of unique spatial experience along with place to see and been seen. We spotted Tim Shadbolt last weekend, and few others . Love it!

WARNING: Enter at your own risk! There are SO MANY delicious treats in this shop that's it's almost impossible to only buy a coffee - which are undoubtedly the best in town. Amazing range of produce and food items, all NZ made, great staff and lovely location.

I had a bread roll filled with cheese, date pickle and lettuce. Apart from being a bit expensive at $12.50 the bun was soft and fresh and they had not skimped on the cheese . Overall flavour delicious.
