Wai Ora Lakeside Spa Resort

Loved this place so much! Only downside was we didn't have more time to take advantage of the spa and pool.Everything in our room was clean and tidy, staff were lovely and the location is perfect.Also well priced.

The location worked well and the free sauna and jacuzzi usage were great. Very friendly staff and stunning views of the lake too.The dozens of flies that get into the rooms throughout the day and night - a history of them being squashed can be found in the rooms as sheets and ceilings have their squashes bodies smudged everywhere.

Incredible service, lovely team! The only bad thing was the mould on the white window shades which played with my asthma and the showers going over the bathroom floor which wasn't a major. Other than that the cleaners made the room look incredible fresh towels each day, beautiful views. Helpful staff. Beautiful spas and pools. Loved it will definitely be back

Quite a nice spot to watch a sunrise or sunset. Alot of bugs around, which is mentioned in the room info. Had a small water leak. The pool / spa / sauna amenities need TLC. Otherwise, not bad.

Great experience with clean comfortable rooms. Typical hotel setup and good value for money. Not the most modern, but acceptable for the age of the resort. Would stay there again.

I booked 2 rooms and was disappointed to find our rooms weren't together so best to ring ahead and not assume like I did. Rooms were nice, glad we were located on the ground floor I wouldn't want to drag my luggage upstairs. It is a bit far from town but the view is great. Was too cold to try the pool and spa.

Stay at the Wai Ora Lakeside Spa Resort recently and was extremely pleased with how everything went. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was tidy and clean and had all the amenities that I would expect. The spa bath in my room was great to use and fresh towels were supplied daily. The shower was even better than my one at home. Easy check in and check out as well. Also plenty of parking. The location is great on the lake, close to town but far enough away to feel peaceful and quiet. I personally didn't use the pool but I saw others having a great time in and around the pool.My only fault is that there is no sky tv and the internet isnt great. My room did have a smart tv device to use though which we could access Netflix etc. Overall I'm very happy with my experience. 9/10

Mixed reviews as there was a large group of us and we stayed on 2 different occasions. Location for us was great but we did have our own transport. Gorgeous setting. Some staff were very friendly others not so. Rooms were lovely and clean on the first visit . The next stay one of the showers had hair everywhere from the previous guest no housekeeping to clean till the next morning. We were under the impression the pool would be a hot thermal type pool but it is only the tubs out the back that are hot. My daughter left shoes on the first visit and was extremely greatful someone had left them in lost property for her. Very well priced and staff allowed us to leave our bags securely in the bar till we could check in. Unfortunately bar was not open for service.

Satisfactory lodging with views of the lake. Comfy beds and nice patios off the lower level rooms. Courteous and spontaneous staff. Plenty of space in the rooms. Great dining area and the spa is an added treat. Close to town and sites.

Bit far out of town and neighborhood it's located in it's a bit rough. We had a great room with a beautiful view. Some areas of the hotel are run down. No hot pools here only spas and spa baths.
