Blue Water Motel Tairua

I booked this last minute as an escape from the city. The owners were quick to respond to my enquiry. Upon arrival I was greeted by Barry who checked me in and gave me amazing information about the surround areas, walking tracks and beaches. I was very impressed with his knowledge - it also helped plan my weekend.My room had a double bed, wardrobe, TV, table and chairs. The kitchenette was fully equipped and had complimentary tea and coffee - I was offered milk on arrival.The location is a short walk to the township with various eateries and shops, it is 25 minute drive away from Hot Water Beach and Cathedral CoveThe room and bathroom was clean - spotless, I was very happy with the cleanliness.Barry and Sue were amazing hosts, really friendly and made me feel at home.I would return here for another weekend or even longer and will be recommending to friends and family

Very obliging helpful hosts. Our room was spotless, It was serviced daily. It was lovely returning after a days outing to find it fresh and clean. Even remade our beds . Very impressed with the cleanness & hygiene.

Bruce and Sue are welcoming friendly lovely hosts who go the extra mile with a smile, the location could absolutely not be better, the rooms are comfortable and dotted with lots of very helpful details. Loved the ceiling fan. Would always be my first choice on any return trip/stay to Tairua.

We stayed for 4 days at the Blue Water Motel.Barry and Sue are both absolutely amazing, always smiling and friendly and very helpful.Our room was perfect, Quiet, the most comfortable warm bed, fabulous shower pressure. Our room was cleaned daily and everything refreshed for when we arrived back. Its a 5 minute walk to the local village and the beach.I would highly recommend The Blue Water Motel to anyone who is looking for that little something extra. We were very happy with our whole time spent there and we will definitely be coming back soon.

We had the most welcoming hosts at the Blue Water Motel in Tairua. The motel itself is not far from the city centre where the restaurants are and the beach is a two minute walk from the motel. Would definitely recommend staying here if you’re looking for a budget friendly yet clean place.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The motel had all of the facilities you need for a family and our unit was absolutely spotless. The owners were incredibly accommodating and friendly. We would definitely return in the future for a hassle free relaxing stay in Tairua!

My husband and I stayed with Barry & Sue for two nights in one of their studios. The room was immaculately clean and the bed was very comfortable! Barry was extremely helpful pointing out lots of local spots to visit and experience as well as offering us a bottle of milk for our room.We will definitely be returning guests!

Fantastic stay for our long weekend. Barry and Sue were so accommodating and bent over backwards to ensure an enjoyable stay. The units were very tidy and clean. They’ve done a great job updating the place, feels fresh and bright. Location is the best thing, can’t get much more central to the wee town. Would love to come back.
