Five star bakery. A well oiled machine of a bakehouse with cabinets overflowing with delicious offerings. Potato Top Pie 10/10 - epic height, could eat bowls and bowls of the filling.Bacon and Egg 10/10. Huge - lots of bacon! Delicious!

Delicious pies and good service. Highly recommend the mince and cheese!

This bakery was humming with people at 8am on Saturday. Great spot to stop on the way through to Murchison and beyond. Lots of parking. Friendly staff. Good food selection, and good coffee. Only issue I had was that everything was delivered in takeaway cups and paperbags, even if you're dining in. This must create a heap of rubbish, especially given the numbers of people buying food.

A very popular bakery that has exceptional service and food. Seems expensive for a pie but on reflection they are bigger and better and well worth the price. All in all , check them out as you won't regret it

Was so hyped to try a Wakefield pie and ended up being so disappointed. The pies were barely above-average. Undercooked pastry and light on meat - with most of the pie consisting of average tasting gravy (I got the steak and stout). Super overrated.

We just came for a drive from Nelson checking out what's further down the highway. After first stopping at the cafe starting with R across the road and leaving because it was stinky and underwhelming, we said let's just go to this bakery. Best choice. We had a chicken pie (excellent apparently) and a vegetable pie - best I've ever had! Wonderful swirly potato top, lightly crispy and sesame seeded. Inside full of carrot, potato, leek and white sauce. Very good. If I could I would just add cracked pepper. Also had nice ginger crunch and took home a French stick which was unusually sprinkled in rock salt and rosemary (?) very nice. We sat outside munching our pies and there was a constant stream of people with a queue out the door! Lots of pies and delicious looking classic sweet treats. We'll be back for sure.

Heard rave reviews about this place so grabbed lunch today on the way out of town. We had the butter chicken pie(filling wise) best chicken pie I have ever had with great flavour and perfect chicken ratio. The potato top was good but would have been a bit better with a crispy top and some flavour to the mash. Sausage roll solid just needed a bit more flavour. Pastry wasn’t my preferred pastry bit on the dry side but some May prefer that style. Would still return for a butter chicken pie and certainly couldn’t fault the pricing and service

Lovely bakery in Wakefield. Great selection of pies, rolls and baked goods. Even better ...open early morning. Stopped by here at 630am and it was pretty busy.

The very best pies you will ever have. Served hot and with meaty, generous portions! Nice range of sweet pastries as well. Coffee to go is great. Friendly and helpful staff. A real pleasure to support this business.
