We were welcomed by Jas and looked after extremely well. Been in Taupō for a week and eaten at several places but by far the food we had at mavericks was delicious. Great guacamole. Great meals and cocktails. Highly recommend. Will definitely go back.

First time eating here and omg it was amazingggg!! For starters we ordered the bao buns and garlic loaf and those bao buns are the best I’ve tasted. For Main I ordered the Scotch steak with garlic butter and my sides were buttered mash, and Mac and cheese with 2 added eggs! My partner ordered the Scotch with Garlic butter and his 2 sides were Chips and Shrimp salad with 2 added eggs. It’s the best steak meal we have had in a long time. The steak was cooked perfectly and everything was so tasty. The atmosphere was great, and the service was absolutely amazing! Will definitely be coming back here the next time we are in Taupo.Thank you.

We had a social club event at Mavericks with 34 people on Friday night. It did take a few attempts to get a response to my initial booking request. However, once I got a reply the staff were lovely and very accommodating to our group. Jade our server was very sweet and we had no issues with our food orders. Due to our group size we ordered off a set menu, which was good value for money. The mushroom risotto was particularly good. The cocktails and drinks were delicious. The location is great as you can walk through the carpark and go to the drop zone for bowling. Everyone had a great time and we would definitely have a function there again!

Food was excellent, the best steak I’ve had in a while! Generous meals and drinks. Staff were friendly and service was very quick! No dessert, way too full. Well priced too. Will definitely be back

Such a cool place, friendly workers, fast service and amazing kai. Ordered the tomahawk steak, salmon, Korean chicken and spag bol kids meal - YUM and generous portions. Special thanks to Manaia, girl your service was on! Thank you.Also, the espresso martini’s were too good.

What a great pub! The menu is full of amazing starters, light meals, standard sized meals and desserts. We had the Korean fried chicken, fried pork pieces and the 350g and 500g steaks. They were cooked to perfection along with choosing from lots of optional sidesThe drinks menu has an abundance to choose from which all food and drinks were served quickly without any issues!A very clean resturant which is perfect for a late snack or dinnerLots of parking with an easy access ramp for wheelchairs

What a gem of a restaurant. The service from Jade was amazing. Attention to detail was superb and Jade was extremely accomodating when it came to our two little ones. The food was hands down the best we have had in New Zealand since arriving 6 months ago. The eye fillet was perfect. The chicken pasta was masterfully cooked! Overall this was a fantastic evening and I will definitely be back when visiting Taupo.
