Worth a visit if you're in town on a Sunday. Great range of local produce, picked up some limes and locally grown chiles. Nice prepared food selection, finally try the Paua pockets, and cook islands food. The coffee cart was terrible.Nice arts and crafts too.And take cash, not many stalls had mobile eftpos.

Best market experience. Stall holders are very friendly and helpful. Offered business cards for custom made products to my design. Food drinks live music and beautiful weather created a wonderful atmosphere for everyone there.

These markets are the very best I've been to in NZ. The organizers can be proud of what they have produced here as can each of the stall holders that make it what it is. Great array of food but needs to be more coffee stalls on offer.The road signage to it was very confusing but worth the search. A real credit to Whakatane.

Great little market with local stalls and very tasty food stalls to.Very friendly Cook island couple sell mainice, curry chicken, chop suey, raw fish, poke (Yummy) and donuts.It's maionice and curry chicken is right up there how mum use to make it.
