A beautiful cafe with a wide courtyard, and a children's play area with good amenities. The menu is also comprehensive and the Barista is really helpful. Just ask for the special of the day and you are sure get a good feed. Also the portion sizes are amazing. They are also a walk in store where you can just pick up snacks for your road trip. Whether you are looking for a leisurely lunch or a quick pit stop, Hide cafe is an ideal choice.

Had a delicious salmon bagel, also their own made nut and fruit energy bar - very morish. They are in the middle of renovatiing the seating area. I'll have to check it out again when they have finished

Great service, friendly staff, perfect for a break. We took some cappuccinos and asked for a take away Carrot Cake before leaving, the nice women gave us two little boxes with cream and spoons, lovely !Thanks

Beautiful cafe/bakery with wonderful service.Veg Pie was the best I had in whole of New Zealand. Cheese roll was superb. Heaps of place to sit. Has restrooms. Highly recommended.CheersR1

Customer service was very average, the whole place was cold except right next to the fireplace, we asked for two flatwhites and received two lattes and the coffee was burnt, my partner loaded his with sugar in hopes it would make it better but it only made it worse, we only had a couple of sips of coffee before we gave up. The place was very clean.

Would not recommend. Waited over 40min for 3 meals and hot chips, noone else was even in there. Coffee came out fast and was nice. Salad was very average with chewy steak, hot chips tasted like oil needed to be changed and pancakes were not good.
