Lovely food, great vibe.I had a small mocha and the salmon cream cheese bagels. The bagels weren't overdone and overly crispy like most cafes do. Mocha was perfection. Lovely polite ladies working too. 10/10 will recommend, and I'm absolutely coming back

So good, we came back the next day before leaving Welly! Coffee is excellent, plenty of vege and vegan alternatives, and the staff friendly and accomodating. It’s only a wee place so can occasionally be a bit busy and packed but they manage it well. Would recommend to anyone in the area.

Terrible experience for lunch today. Had to get a refund as my meal was an absolute joke. Tuna melt made with the end pieces of a sourdough, a slice of cheese melted over with 10 flakes of tinned tuna and charging $16 for it. My 7 year old nephew can make better food than this.Your toilet is also in a very bad state with black mould and grime all over the sink and taps. Disgusting.

Betsy is my favourite cafe in the whole of Island Bay (and maybe even Wellington city!) and I’ve been a regular since they opened. Always delicious food to be had - including lots of mouth watering cakes and donuts - and the coffee is supreme. Try the maple cold brew, you won’t regret it :-) the staff are amazing and friendly and the place is in general a cosy little upbeat spot in the heart of the suburb. Wait times are never long despite being a super popular location, and you can always find a spot to sit whether that’s indoors our outside. Plus it’s dog friendly - yay! Highly recommend giving Betsy a visit.

Gorgeous service, EXCELLENT Coffee (People’s), medium sized selection of food, BUT the quality and price is perfectly pitched; it looks great and from the Christmas Slice I had, the other food is gonna be top notch. Note, they do pre-prepped meals at the bottom of the fridge - nice, highish-end stuff. Also sell artisan bread on Saturdays...locally made. Scorching Bay?, I think?Closed Sunday/Monday at this stage.Wellington has NOT been wow-ing me coffee/food combos, since I’ve been back - (needs to match the looks with the taste more) so I’m glad to say this place has done so. Give it a whirl...!!!!

Great mushroom frittata. Staff was outgunned by the number of customers. If he owner is reading, get her an extra hand! She did great, but needed another person there.
