First time in Sumner and tried Red Snapper for quick snack at night. We ordered Oyster (Pacific), Fish bites, and the Burger. We all loved it! We love to try their other menu soon.

This is an intriguing fish and chips place that doesn't really deliver. The menu has a wide variety of deep fried options at a very reasonable price, but when you bite into the food it falls short.I ordered the fish and chips per the suggestion of a local. Food is presenting in a fully-wrapped butcher paper which seems like a colossal waste of paper to me. Inside the wrapping was a lot fo french fries and a long, thin piece of fish that was neither moist nor tender. It was flavorless and stale tasting.The burgers looked juicy but were overcooked and tasted like they had been frozen for a while.You have to pay for all of the condiments, $2.50 for a small cup of sauce.The staff was friendly and very polite, however.

Absolute favourite fish and chip shop in Christchurch.Gurantee to grab lunch here everytime we go to Sumner beach or Taylor's mistake. The fish is delicious, chips are crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle and the hot dog is massive enough to feed two so great for sharing :) I would highly recommend unfortunately only downfall is they dont have family packs. Purchase are individual costs

Almost perfect fish and chips, the only thing stopping a 5 star review is they're pretty expensive even for sumner prices but I couldn't afford everything I wanted and the lovely staff did give me a discount so I could review everything I ordered initially. Definitely worth the drive out to sumner. You must try the deep fried camembert, it's essential if you go here

A lot of people talk this shop up as one of the best for Fish and Chips in Christchurch.Our experience was average. To be honest, we have had better fish and chips from other shops. The scoops of chips were average in size, we have had bigger scoops else where, the meat patties were tastless, the batter on the fish wasn't cooked through, we could say a lot more ...........Red Snapper is on par with other run of the mill fish and chip shops but nothing to write home about.

Just the best fresh cooked fish and chips in town. Restaurant quality (better than most at half the price) Stopped in for the first Bluff Oysters of 2022. OMG absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. Washed down with an ice cold bottle of French Champagne (we just happened to bring). Thank you Adam. As you said Worth the wait" and met all expectations. Back soon <3 :-)"

This is 100% the better of the two. Ignore the lower score as its wrong. Purchased the same order (f,c,hd,jr) the same evening. Chips crispy vs (literally) floppy, fish twice the thickness and hotdog a bit better tasting although nothing versus a red prebbleton hotdog. The other place definitely has good burgers but I haven't tried ones from here.
