The Y Onehunga War Memorial Pool

Onehunga pools are my childhood, my son swam here as a kid and with his friends, my partner loves it, and I bring my school holiday programme years later! Summer is the best for the outdoors pools then winter indoors with sauna, steam room and spa!They have picnic tables & bbq area good for family times!!I use the pools for fitness swimming for years love them! Great aqua fit class, and the service too! There’s also a gym too. Only busy when the swimming lessons are on......... in the morningsThere’s also a great big park/playground outside opposite the pools for picnics & families with lots of grass space and trees and lots of car parks!Renovations are on at the moment yay can’t wait until it’s finished will look the best in Auckland!!!

Outdoor pool area is great for kids, they have 2 diving boards, and 2 slides. Lots of tables for picnics but based on first in first serve. Indoor pool i find it too stuffy. Toilets/showers however need to be maintained, smelt like urine when we went.

Good sauna, and steam room. Fair use of spa, sauna & pool. Good indoor & outdoor pools during the summertime.

Went to this pool complex today. Very dirty condition, dirt scum around water line. Walking around the pool was very slippery and need to be scrubbed clean. The only lifeguard I saw went into a side room to use his phone for 5 minutes. Children bombing in front of the guard standing in front of the No bombing sign. People eating around the pool side with rubbish floating in the water. Definitely not worth the money we pay for the use of the pools.

the pools were so dirty, you could see the buildup underwater as well as above water. The family changing area is pretty small for a family, it’s dirty, you can see tiny random stuff float in the water, just honestly a big no for me. Dirty and just no

I come here twice a week . Pools are clean the sauna, spa and steam room is relaxing and to cool go for a dive off the high diving bord to cool down. Price reasonable $6:70 (adults) . Changing rooms and toilets are ok, had a ball of hair in the shower but the shower was hot, toilets are clean and have a hair dryer .

Awesome place to take kids for a swim, the outdoor pool is refreshing

Good basic swimming pool. There is a large lane pool and a warmer toddler/family pool inside. The change rooms are very small and hard to navigate with a stroller. Definitely could do with a renovation. But the kids had a great time splashing around in the toddler pool area. Was nice and relaxed trip out.

I think the Onehunga memorial pool is a wonderful place and it's well cared for well looked after and good for meeting friends and good for getting exercises..You can relax there..
