Great venue, if you are looking for somewhere to take that ”tinder date”, your mum for a bite to eat from the exceptional tapa’s menu (and a vino or two) or just a few quiets with the lads before heading next door, Hops is the place to go. Staff are epic, cocktails are outstanding. No empty glasses here. Outstanding table service. Just what Takapuna needed (finally). Cheers team.

Great venue with a great owner who knows his drinks. Tried two cocktails and the espresso martini was really nice. Went out of his way to make us welcome, a must visit if you enjoy a focus on great hospitality :)

Such a homely feel with the atmosphere and service! Food and cocktails are bloody amazing. When asking for recommendations on the food, the host highly recommended the Moroccan chicken skewers (these were perfect!), and also suggested on ordering 3-4 items from the Tapas menu for the 2 of us - we decided on 4 items and ended up taking half of our cheese and garlic pizza bread home! Couldnt have asked for a better friday arvo!

Myself and my husband called in on the spur of the moment this afternoon whilst in Auckland for a show. The cosy atmosphere is what drew us in, and our regard for the establishment was increased by the the friendliness of the young man in sole charge. We were both impressed by our cocktails and spent a very pleasant 40 minutes there. For people who like an intimate bar, with atmosphere, look no further.

We had a private function at Hops and Claret and it was a fantastic night. The staff are lovely and the food is amazing and it was a great atmosphere - I can't recommend it highly enough.

Amazing little bar, very upmarket inside.The Tapas are very tasty, would definitely recommend . The wait staff was exceptional.

Came in for some cocktails with the girls and got excellent service from greg!!! He was very attentive and fast also was super lovely when our orders got a little complicated after a few thank you again for being amazing!!!!
