Sets the standard for all other ramen places in Auckland...hard to beat for food quality and pricing. The sides are good rather than great, but am really here for the ramen. Parking can be tricky being Newmarket though.

Limited parking in area.No reservations, walk in to be seated.Friendly welcome on entrance. Waiting line as very popular.Lots of seating and friendly quick service.Great menu with variations of ramen, don, and much more.Great prices and very filling. Love it and can't wait to come back!!!

Good ramen. Spacious and clean inside. Service is attentive and quick. Recommend ordering extra noodles if you want x1.5 portion!

Probably the best ramen we have ever had near Auckland CBD.The restaurant is bright and with a nice ambiance. The ramen broth is delicious. We ordered the Ajisen ramen and tonkotsu ramen ($41 in total) , which broth are very nice, and they come with beautifully charred char siew, half boiled egg (which many ramen restaurants here don't serve), and mushroom.Provided its location and price, definitely worth the money.

This is the fastest served ramen in the world haha. Took like 4 mins.I am huge Ippudo fan, so had to try Ajisen to compare. And it is hard to decide which is better.I reckon here you get more buck for your dollar than Ippudo. So toppings are winner here.But noodles and broth is Ippudo for me. However honestly it is very close. Both are delicious. And I love Ajisen varieties. I loved my Black garlic ramen and my man loves his beef shortrib

Nice broth and texture of noodles. I love the ability to choose the hardness of noodles.However, there was lots of room for improvement for the toppings. The chasu pork lacked flavour and was hard and chewy. The paiku had good flavour but was extremely chewy and dry. The egg either didn’t have much flavour or it’s flavour was overpowered by the broth - either way it was bland and did not add anything to the dish. The wood ear was bland, but added a nice texture.The portion is also very large, especially the grand zen nose. I left feeling very heavy and bloated despite not finishing the meal.For me, those are deal breakers and I would not come back to this restaurant but I would recommend it to anyone who isn’t bothered about toppings and just want good noodles and broth.

Got ajisen ramen, volcano ramen and bean sprouts and takoyaki. Overall, very tasty but I think the broth has changed a little bit, First time came here was in 2019 and were blown away by the soup, came back recently and still tasty but not as I remembered from back then

Just wish vegan options were better. No tofu, no meat, same price, rice & vegetables. Such a shame because our friends loved the non-vegan food. Staff were nice though.

Ajisen Ramen is a great choice for a delicious and satisfying meal. On my visit, I ordered the Chicken Katsu Ramen and the Squid Karaage, both of which were excellent. The only minor issue I had was that the chicken in the ramen could have used a little more seasoning, but this was a small detail and didn't impact the overall enjoyment of the dish.The staff at Ajisen were friendly and efficient, ensuring that my dining experience was smooth and enjoyable. I highly recommend giving Ajisen Ramen a try. The food is top-notch and the service is good. You won't be disappointed!
