Hunter's Wines

Of all the wineries I recently visited in Blenheim - Hunters was by far the best. Welcoming staff, beautiful garden, delicious wine and friendly atmosphere. Julie was our tasting host and she was lovely and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend this beautiful little spot!

WOW!! Drop off there as an after thought due to a bad experience up the road. This place blew our minds. Great food and prices and the staff were friendly, helpful and very nice. The wine was great too. Easy parking and toilets good for disable people. Very peaceful and wonderful place to eat and drink. Going back on Saturday.

We loved Hunter's. We stopped for lunch and a tasting. I had the jalapeno poppers and pesto panino, which were both excellent. All of the staff are lovely. Highly recommend!

Fantastic!! My work colleagues and I are visiting wineries/restaurants all around Marlborough and this so far is my favourite! I already knew the wine was delicious from wine and food festival, so I had to visit the cellar door. The Cork and Keg hope to stock your wine very soon! The light lunch was superb, especially the smoked salmon bagel. I will definitely be back!

Excellent place for a light lunch. Beautiful gardens, Very good service . Food delicious, especially the homemade Chicken pie plus nice chunnky fries, also vegetarian rosti. Nice selection of drinks. VERY reasonably priced in these times. Special mention to the very welcoming Rachel. Well done.

When most cellar doors were closed for harvesting, Hunter’s Wines was a sight for sore-eyes. Their vineyard signage was clear, with plenty of parking that’s has a very pretty vine setting. There’s decent numbers of seating indoors as well as outdoors for tasting and platters.We had a lovely wine tasting led by Jane(?). She was very welcoming and keen to share knowledge of their delicious wine and glorious vineyard history. It was great to discover their many award-winning wines as well as a selection of vegan wines. She knew what our palate prefered and was happy to include a wine that wasn’t on their tasting list (which we happily bought a few bottles of!) Bonus to have the tasting fee’s waived when we made purchases. Handy to find out some New World stores stock their wines too. Will definitely return to try their platters and light meals next time.

My husband and I really enjoyed our time here. The staff was above and beyond amazing and so friendly! They do mainly serve whites and I’m more of a red drinker, but I really enjoyed all of their wines. They also have a really nice garden area where we did the tasting and had some very delicious bites! I definitely recommend the semi hard cheese and the prosciutto and bresaola! The meat was phenomenal!

Lovely setting, delicious wines and a great hostess. We sat in the garden during a chilly (summers) day. The expert wine lady knew a lot about wines and even tried to convert me to Chardonnay.
