Fluent Dog

We’ve been working with Sarah for almost a year now with our very complex rescue boy and she has been amazing! Her methods are all science-based and she has really helped us to understand what our pup is trying to tell us and to find ways to help him manage his feelings (of which he has many!) Sarah really cares about her clients (both canine and human) and has been an amazing support on what has been a very challenging journey.

Sarah has been a lifesaver for us since we adopted our rescue puppy, Kody. She has been so supportive, answering questions and encouraging troubleshooting between our in-home sessions so that we can keep progressing. She even planned a session to work with our teenagers and has helped us with the challenges of managing a new puppy with a 3 yr old in the house!We've found her to be super friendly, knowledgeable, honest and professional. The positive reinforcement training has been very effective and Kody loves her and is learning so much! She genuinely cares and wants to see us succeed.

Sarah is without a doubt the most amazing dog trainer in Auckland. My wife and I spent time fostering older dogs, before adopting our own, and as you can imagine, they can often come with issues. Sarah went above and beyond to help us and turned an extremely anxious and reactive dog into a gorgeous and confident dog using only positive reinforcement and teaching us (the owners) different skills to manage behaviour. Sarah loves dogs more than most humans like other people and this is evident in the way she interacts with dogs. She also has the knowledge to support her skills and makes sure to explain things clearly, in an easy to understand way. She will make you a training plan that is based on your goals and will offer support as you work your way through it. Sarah is also not afraid to be upfront and honest, even if it might not be what you want to hear. If you have a dog, you need Sarah in your life to make sure you and your dog are living your happiest, healthiest life!

We have worked with Sarah for the past seven months. Our standard poodle went blind suddenly. Sarah is excellent. She worked with our dog to help her cope with her sudden blindness and with us to transition from visual commands to oral commands. We are very happy with the progress our dog has made and recommend Sarah unreservedly.

We have been working with Sarah since our schnoodle Freddie was 12 weeks old. He was quite anxious and nervous particularly around new people or unfamiliar sounds.Sarah gave us some tips with training and helped Freddie learn to trust new people. He built an incredible bond with Sarah as she patiently showed him that he could trust her. It was very comforting for us to watch him grow his confidence and build a relationship with someone else.Training a dog takes a lot of work, and it really helps having the guidance of a professional. Not only for our dog, but so we can be better owners to our dog. Having Sarah as a trainer has been one of the best investments we have made for Freddie to become the best, most confident dog that he can possibly be, and be a dog that doesn’t look at the world with fear, but instead looks at the world with curiousity.
