The Dome

Though we didn't get a room with the sea view, we have enjoyed our stay at The Dome. It's just across the road from the waterfront and the room is quite spacious.It's Marine Parade location is handy to cafes and restaurants, not to mention a chance to enjoy the sunrise, if you're awake early enough - see photos.

This is the worst hotel me and my partner have ever stepped foot in, we left immediately and booked another Hotel despite being refused a refund or change of room by the staff on request. To begin with we walked into the building of the so called advertised ‘Luxury Hotel’ and found nothing luxury about it at all. No receptionist or receptionist desk, you get your key by a lockbox. We walked through the cold, airy, dim lit, smelly, confusing hallways into our room which was freezing and had stained carpet, a moulding breaking roof, questionable scratches on the doors and lots of other wear and tear. Asides from the terrible condition of the place, we both got an overall terrible feeling immediately stepping into the room and felt like something bad either had or would happened if we stayed here. All around terrible experience. Have no idea how this place can have such great reviews when our experience of a what was advertised to be a supposed ‘Luxury’ stay was the complete opposite, including terrible customer service. We feel catfished by the photos and like we were conned when we were not accommodated for after stating the room and place was not up to standard in any way.

Loved the place, felt like we were living in true luxury. The views in the cape view penthouse were exceptional, the night we were staying we all were standing on the balcony watching the moon rise upon the water. The only issue was small maintenance work such as chips on the balcony other than that it was a perfect stay.

The room was nice and large. Loved the walk in wardrobe. Locations was ideal. It was finishing touches that made it miss the mark. Rain shower but the wand didn't work. Spa bath except the spa part didn't work and the shower wand dribbled. A very ugly water stain on the roof of the lounge area. To truly be 5-star and value for money you need to add those final touches. The self-check in/lack of a reception and barely seeing any staff was not welcoming.

The Dome is a lovely place to stay ,very clean and had everything we needed. Great viewsThe rooms are great , only one thing is the seating is getting a bit old and is not good for people with bad backs.

I stayed at The Dome in December 2020, and left behind a very sentimental item that holds extreme personal value. I contacted the hotel the same day and they said that they would happily post it back to me. Two weeks later nothing arrived, and I contacted them again. They made an excuse about change of management and they would post it the next day and it’ll arrive within the week. Again... nothing arrived. Another two weeks later I email them, text them, and call them - having them ignore every single message I send them. My mum decides to call them as she is aware of the meaning behind what I left behind. They tell her the same excuse so so sorry... it’ll be posted out tomorrow we promise blah blah blah. ANOTHER TWO WEEKS... nothing. They’re ignoring every single call! Just appalled by the lack of consideration and care of this matter. Very sad when hotel staff and managers do very little to help their customers. Do not trust the staff, do not stay here.

Very good value for a large room with a large bathroom complete with bath. On the waterfront and centrally located. Off street parking was confusing. Located some distance from the hotel at another hotel. The lane to the carpark was blocked by several other cars so I gave up and parked in the street. A little worrying given a shooting in on the waterfront the day before.I would have given it 5 stars for value for money but the parking let it down.

Easy access. Perfect location and spotlessly clean. There is no on-site car park, but it's an easy walk away. The design and layout is great, perhaps slightly tired, but great design makes it even more chiq. Loved it.

Beautiful apartment, top floor with wicked panoramic views.Nice hot spa to relax in the evening with a beer on the balcony.Only sad bit was no big TV to blur out on later. Only small TV in room with no suitable seating.No TVs in bedrooms either, even master had none.Beautiful Bose sound system set up, but unable to get it all to turn on and work.All in all an awesome experience, that I would gladly repeat, especially with friends. Just a couple small things could make a nice improvement.Room was Deco Decant
