Road in could be a challenge, really need a 4WD vehicle. Fabulous place to visit, so isolated

Access road is a challenge rocky and gravel. Taken slowly our 7 metre bus got there safely. No people lovely place to cycle, walk, kayak and swim or just read. First photo is taken on the way up

The road in is suitable for 4WDs only or a careful driver, certain not our bus. Beautiful quiet place with a few fishing cribs dotted around.

I rode from Brighton up to Poolburn Reservoir in 1968 with my 3 children 9, 11 and 13 years old. A 3 day ride through the Rough Range and the Rock and Pillars. We arrived in a snow blizzard just after Xmas day. Brilliant sun the next day. Stayed with Pat and Co in an A framed hut before continuing on our way...a 5 week horse trek over the Cambrians , St Mary range and back through Silver Peaks
