Fantastic river if you want to go whitebaiting or just relax and enjoy the morning sunrise. I tend to get up an hour before the rising Sun, to get into location before the Sun begins it's rise above the horizon. Then you experience that golden light for about half an hour. Wear it paints the landscape with vivid tones and colouring. Giving me incredible photo opportunities. Later my mates ask me, How do you get your photos to pop like that." I say everytime

This is the best place for whitebait patties . Perfect stopping area to take some time to get to know about whitebait and the area. Meet up with other travellers from far and wide. Friendly and helpful people who run the biz. If you want authentic west coast style, this is the place
