Lived most of my adolescent life here, with this on my backdoor. Just moved back here after 35 years. Good for fishing, eeling and rafting.Most tour operators depart from the Matahina Dam, which is about 10 minutes away.

One of my favourite places. Swam there caught fish there and eels, and trout, herrings, cooked down there, absolutely beautiful there. Even swan across the rangitaiki river.
