Thanks Jo for letting me book the mezzanine floor with 15 guests. It was a surprise party for my wife and a significant milestone. Zoe and all the servers were magnificent servers.

Food was good, good potion and it was a birthday dinner we have even been offered a free dessert for the birthday star. Service was as good as to be expected. Our desserts has been delayed due to lack of staffs and we were nearly left without the desserts.

Top service, staff very fast and food came out very quickly.Having a service button on every table makes getting service so easy and quick, a win win for both the customer and the business.Food was great as always, no issues.Highly recommend.

Lone Star Cafe & Bar
We've been coming here for 15 years. The classic menu is what keeps us coming back. My favourite is the Dixie Chicken. A great selection of drinks: mocktails, cocktails, wines and beers. Great for date night, family meals out and also larger groups. Kids love the kids menu! We love the calamari, nachos and loaf for starters. A wide variety of mains with generous portions. Lots of classic desserts.

The food is delicious but over the years the quantity and recipes have definitely changed. The quantity definitely has gone down but the quality and taste only getting better. Dinner last night was very good. Service was very friendly and prompt. One of my families favourite restaurants in Wellington.Ordered Glen Campbell Burger, Dixie Chicken and Stand by your Lamb.For deserts The Milky Bar Pud & Jack Daniels Chocolate Fudge Pudding giving 5+ stars ⭐️ .

Not the best experience. Putting aside the kiddie noise and too-loud music to compensate, the food was not great. The garlic bread was large enough to feed half of Africa, but had just the slightest smear of garlic butter, as can be seen in the photo below. Enjoy that top 1mm, because after that all you're left with is dry bread and crust. The Dixie Chicken came with two halves of what must be the smallest chicken breast possible, with a sauce that had little flavour, compared to the last Dixie Chicken I had 20+ years ago in Wgton. No idea about dessert's because I wasn't hanging around to find out. This place is obviously popular if you need somewhere to take the kids for a 'restaurant' treat, or a 21st family gathering, but not for a date night.
