Mahoe Farmhouse Cheese
Small shop attached to the dairy that sells cheese made on site. Just a lovely experience to visit, starting with the long driveway that takes you past some beautiful old stone fences, a few idyllic farmyard scenes and an operating timberyard before parking outside the building that has milking at one end, the shop at the other with the little cheese factory in the middle. Hard to get fewer food miles than that!

A must visit whenever we're in the area! I love the gouda! And checking out what's in the fridge - such amazing deals for cheese. Every staff member I've come across has also been very lovely and happy to help :) my personal favorite is the garlic and chive gouda and halloumi

Stopped by on a road trip, amazing! Little farm with goats and pigs and they were adorable! Owners were super friendly and we got camenbhert cheese and mozzarella cheese as well as taste of the super aged cheddar and it was brilliant! If we ever pass through again, will definitely stop by!

Yegads this is good cheese!! Their blue is so creamy and yummy and their brie style cheese is very good indeed. Excellent prices for the quality and remarkably friendly staff. Couldn't recommend highly enough.

Seriously the best camembert I have ever tasted!! An amazing family business who obviously love what they do and are sensationally good. Staff were extremely helpful. Can't recommend this place more highly as a must do if you are in the area.

Great service cheese ordered on tuesday and arrived in Ashburton thursday. Am currently sitting in front of the fire with aged Gouda and quince jelly looking out at snow in Ashburton. Covid lock downs have no impact when you have some of the best cheese I have ever tasted.

I love oramahoe cheese factory! So when residents at kerikeri retirement village asked where it was: off we went! Yum. Cumin is my favourite. And...old gouda, haloumi....blue. hmm they are all good. Cheese for presents
