This place doesn't deserve any stars. We visited the Estate as it was suggested by a local newspaper. People there are not friendly.

I used to come here in the early 90s when it was in private ownership. I remember the springston trophy! I know every inch of that place. We were wild children!

Yip can't forget it & wouldn't change a thing, it was what it was a School for troubled kids from all walks of life from all over Aotearoa.I remember Mr Aspen Mr Bernie Walsh & Mr Pat Walsh Mr & Mrs Willis.

I was there for 7 years though no fault of my own ,1946 till 1953 not a very happy experience, it ruined my childhood some of goings on at that time very cruel because at that time i used to wet the bed ,straw mattress & cold bath even in the winter, those were the days . D J Scott 83 y old
