Had a great lunch here today, at Anzil Hungarian Restaurant. Excellent service, very attentive and friendly staff, cosy ambience. Had some live-music there as well which was pleasant.Our food was delicious, I particularly liked the Hungarian sausage that came with the French Toast, my wife enjoyed the Eggs Florentine with Spinach. I can recommend this restaurant, the food is good and reasonable priced too.

Incredible food! My new favourite restaurant on the Kapiti Coast. Customer service was fantastic, they opened up specially for a birthday dinner. Will definitely be returning - can't recommend this restaurant enough! Thanks for a great night

Like to give more stars, everything was incredible, service (Pete) and bar staff incredibly informative on everything, the food we couldn't fault, shame i couldn't fit more in, superb. Atmosphere was also top marks. A visit is a must and we will be back. Thank you.

Found this place by Googling and it was an amazing experience! Very friendly staff, good musician, and most importantly the food was absolutely nice! Highly recommended. Only Hungarian Restrurant in Kapiti I think. Booking ahead! Very busy place.

Anzil catered a 70th birthday. Lovely service and amazing food. Everything was cooked perfectly. They had delicious vegan and vegetarian options available. Venue was nice and cozy. They also had an open area outside for the kids to run around in. Great place, would highly recommend

Thank you for a fantastic day. It took everyone back to Austria. We appreciated the huge effort to get veal for the schnitzels. The real deal. The schweinsbraten was cooked to perfection. Many thanks to all the staff for a very enjoyable day.

We chose to have our fiftieth wedding celebrations at ANZIL.The people who run this restaurant - the owners and the staff - are absolute stars. They will do anything in their power to make your event a success. Nothing is too much trouble for them.These stars also happen to produce food of star quality. The most tender meats, the best salads and cheeses, beautiful desserts and cakes, catering for all tastes and food choices.Ours was a group of mixed ages - from people in their 80s to babies-. Everyone had the best time. When the sun came out, the staff brought Jenga blocks into the courtyard, a trampoline and other play equipment was made available.We asked to have live music for our event. The musician was amazing. Her skillful singing and playing made a wonderful contribution to the atmosphere of the gathering, setting the scene for a happy afternoon.It is worth taking the time to hunt out this gem for your event, or for your next dining out experience. You will not be disappointed.
