Had lunch at the Thomas Green last Thursday. The staff was superb, very friendly! And this avocado bagels dish was delicious with a wee spice in it!

Never have I ever received such an insulting service from a restaurant in my life time.We felt unwelcomed! Food plates was rudely put on our table, we had to get up and go to the counter to order drinks, then to order mains, after the wait of an hour for our children’s food, and an hour and a half for ours. We were never asked for dessert.!!!A smile on the service lady’s face to too much to ask for…We were told about it’s a luck to get a service out of this restaurant, but we went by the reviews online, now I wish I had listened to them. And felt the need to put a review to beware other people.!!Food was amazing!!! Complements to the chef but the service needs to improve massively…

Lovely restaurant, all of the main meals were delicious and cooked to perfection. Sadly two of the desserts were not presented how they were described on the menu - The Pavlova was just a shell and more like a meringue and the “Authentic Spanish Bunuelos” which are described as a fried dough fritter simply looked like deep fried wonton wrappers covered in sugar and cinnamon which was disappointing as there was nothing doughy about them. Great service and meals but the desserts were a let down. :)

A lovely brunch/lunch menu at The Thomas Green in Gore. Our group had Eggs Benedict, seafood chowder, delicious chicken salad and Thai red curry, although the Thai red curry was certainly not the best I had!!

Really impressed with the food and service. The tempura squid was delicious and the beef wellington an absolute treat. Despite being short staffed, it they were quick and accommodating. A little disappointed in the venison salad as rocket was substituted for cabbage and mesclun and goats cheese basically non existent which didn't represent the price.

A fantastic experience at the TG tonight for our son’s birthday dinner. I called earlier in the day to reserve a table & asked if the lunchtime burger could be available for dinner. The young lady on service asked the chef who said it wouldn’t be a problem as it was a special birthday request. Our waitress was amazing, friendly and passed on birthday wishes from the chef, even popped a candle in his ice cream sundae! All of our meals were prompt, beautifully cooked, delicious and the presentation was top notch. Highly recommend the TG, especially for celebrating occasions.
