Before the lockdown started in New Zealand, no other camps were accepting new people, but John with Gloria took us in and made sure our time there was enjoyed. They were very eager to help, brought us fruit or fish several times and even though there was 10 of us, John helped us to find a job. We stayed over 2 months and it was great. Thanks again, definitely will visit once I get to Pukehina again!

My Parents have a permeant caravan site there and I must say its always a good time coming here to chill out and enjoy beach life. Not far from the beach entry either walking or by bikes, Other permeant camp goers are lovely and the owners put on a great new year spread every year with live music and buffet. Facilities are clean and the camp is maintained well by owners. Recommended place to camp!

Stayed here for a few nights,one of the last great kiwi camping grounds,the owners John & Gloria were an amazing hosts and very accommodating and sooo friendly,clean and tidy with cheap showers and laundry,close proximity to swimming and fishing beach ⛱ we will definitely go back and we highly recommend this place ☺ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Very clean, well looked after camp and not to mention that this is very handy to the beautiful beach. Of course lovely, friendly and accommodating owners John and Gloria - always ready to give-a-hand if needed and if they can.

Best camping ground I've been to. The owner is a big hearted, hard working, good talking bloke. Very highly recommended to anyone who wants to go camping

Was in relaxing expirienced with friends. They have a good and awesome fcilities, a friendly manager who assisting us all the time of our stay.

Really great campsite. Very friendly and helpful owners, laid back atmosphere. Right next to the beach. Fully equipped kitchen and nice hot showers ($1 for 4 minutes, cheaper than I've found elsewhere). Hopefully will have chance to come again!

Have just stayed for two nights at this holiday park. Not impressed at all. Will not go back. Not very clean facilities. Kitchen very antiquated. Needs updating big time. Had no sleep for two nights, kept awake with farm dogs barking until 1pm.

We stayed 2 nights to attend a wedding at the Old Forest School venue. Campground was clean and tidy and dog friendly. Hot showers were coin operated but beautiful and clean. The owners were polite, friendly and accommodating. Good access for our 7m bus. Beach is just a short walk away. Would highly recommend.
