Absolutely excellent. Stunning venue, Paula the host made us feel so welcome and at home, and did such an amazing job of hosting and catering what many of our friends said was the best wedding they had ever been to. Beautiful romantic place for our wedding. Will recommend this venue to everyone I can.

My Mum recently held a family lunch for 8 people at the James Homestead which was provided and hosted by Paula Smith. This was most successful and they all had a very enjoyable time as evidenced by the happy photos I saw!! They had been asked to suggest a menu, but agreed to have what was available as a seasonal menu on the day and all commented that the 3 course meal was excellent as were the surroundings and extras such as flowers on the table. They would recommend this venue without reservation and look forward to returning again (I believe this is their second or third visit already!!).

When I first step into this place, I knew for a fact that this is the best place for my wedding. Although it’s just a small wedding, Paula has been very accommodating. The food is great. Everyone of my guests enjoyed the place. Blue skies, green fields with a bonus of a sunny weather had made the place a picturesque venue. All the best!

We hosted an event here recently at The James Homestead, it is a stunning location and we had a lovely meal in a gorgeous setting. The hostess was very accommodating with all our catering and event needs. A lovely hidden gem in Kamo, Whangarei and can't wait for our next event there.

Lucky me to have been invited to several functions at the Homestead. Amazing food and hosts. Also,I have hosted a small work lunch gathering. Spot on and easy to work with Paula, everyone in our group was well catered for and we had a fab time.

A perfect venue for what we needed for our function intimate, warm friendly vibe that our guests could relax in and enjoy a traditional hot breakfast while enjoying the beautiful views. A number of our attendees remarked on the venue.

We were fortunate to be invited to a dear friends 60th birthday. The invite said afternoon tea, and we were treated to a sumptuous spread in the most delightful surounding. Food was excellent, the venue beautiful and the service was discreet and efficient. A great around venue.
