St Peter's Anglican Church

A beautiful small church. A must visit for a quiet prayer amongst the hustle and bustle of Queenstown.

The location of the church is at the center of the city, within walking distance to the lake, the garden, cafes and restaurant and all the activities.The church is beautifully built, spent some time here to enjoy.

The building next to this church are shared with muslim community to perform Friday prayer, What a harmony communities. Muslim who get the chance to pray here please donate some of your money for the community to build an islamic center here in Queenstown. Wish all of you will get a reward from Allah in Jannah InsyaAllah

A vintage, calm, cute and well maintained church right at the very heart of Queenstown with so much character. Definitely worth a visit.

What a loving friendly community of people! I sang my heart out to the hymns and listened to a moving sermon delivered by now vicar former professor in bio chemistry, and shared a cup of tea after the service. And what a beautiful organ and interior of this 19th century church!

It's hard to find a more iconic church in the mountains than St. Peter's in Queenstown. It's just off the lake and the downtown and the stone work on the outer facade is picturesque. Inside you'll find about a dozen rows of pews and an unpretentious alter. Be sure to take a look at the organ up front. It's listed on the national historical record as one of the first European pipe organs in NZ and the artistry in the paint detail is not to be missed. Aside from the building, the people of its congregation are the true stars of St. Peter's. They are kind and welcoming and a true example of the Christian spirit. The Vicar, David, is incredibly kind and genuine. You won't find a better example of the openness and warmth of the Anglican Church than this fine gentleman. Stop in at St. Peter's. It's a gem of a place in a glorious city.

Religion should be abolished. Have attended a wedding here and it was really nice for that. Quite small so some were standing.
