Green Gables Motel Lower Hutt

Firstly the service, we were traveling from Auckland to Christchurch and decided to stay in wellington, we were late getting to green gables but the office lady stayed up for us and made our stay amazing, not to mention how comfy the beds wereHighly recommend and will be back

Perfect location to catch the ferry next morning as only 14 minutes from the wharf.Lots of eating options nearby. Can't go past Burger Fuel down the road.Rooms very clean and comfortable. Had a studio and well equipped.Will use again.

Not the best experience I've had at motels.Noisey neighbour's, drinking, 'smoking' and loud music. phoned reception to ask for assistance with noise control, assistance proved futile, group calmed down for all of a minute before they then decide to urinate and 'smoke' near my door, and get louder.When I finally decided to pack up to leave and informed management of my decision to relocate, I was treated like I was an inconvenient brat. Was clear that my business was not priority for them. Thankfully they agreed to refund my stay-(supposed to be there for 3 nights)I recommend if looking to book here to phone in advance to see who the other Guests may be during your stay. when traveling We are paying for a restful night after all. I may have just struck a random busy night.Edit, 'my interaction with them earlier' as you stated in your response is another example of the uncomfortable situation I was faced with. The other Guests walking into my room uninvited to offer me alcohol. I was taken aback by this, I was polite to them as to not offend or upset anyone but I certainly did not interact with them.I was in town for work not to party with random guests at a motel. I am glad they were quiet for the remainder of their stay.

We stayed at the green cables over Christmas whilst visiting family in Lower hut. Everything we could have hoped for, very clean, good facilities, warm welcome, 1st class

Receptionist was kind and polite 5 Star for her.Owner of this place is RUDE..... Do not stay here.We were talking outside quietly at night and was told to get back in our room or get, After we apologized she was real rude and told us to get into the room or get the F--- of her property.

I travel a bit. Found this place to be the real deal. Kitchen had all the bits, a sharp knife, can opener, decent amount of milk for coffee, electric pan. Big shower. Nice bed. Nice lights, art work and lots of TV channels. IT WAS CLEAN. So clean. Even in the corners clean. Even the jug was clean, the TV screen and mirror were clean. The bathroom was so clean. Even dust. These people clearly take pride in the business.

Very clean well appointed rooms and exceptionally accommodating staff.

Back story: We, mother and son, are travelling around NZ and Wellington is our last stop. The accommodation that we booked prior had a problem and we needed to evacuate during the night. We were desperate to find a shelter and our local friend suggested Green Gables Motel.Service and price: When we arrived the motel, we were impressed with staff's service mind. It was a sudden request in the night before Matariki holiday. All rooms, except for one, were fully booked. They kindly arranged a room for us and charged us with only standard price.Rooms: The room is large, yet clean and fully equipped.Location: Very convenient! It is located not too far from Hutt city center, so grocery store (Pak'n'save) and other diners are within walking distance. There is also a bus stop nearby.

Booked our overseas Judge for our dog show. He was really happy with his stay.The room was very clean and tidy. The staff were extra helpful and friendly. Highly recommend it
