My family and I had dinner @ Makassar Corner the other night and overall the food and service was excellent!!The business is a family run restaurant, making authentic Indonesian HALAL cuisine.We made reservations prior to coming and tried the following:Martabak - Beef, Martabak - Chicken, Chicken Skewers, Chicken fried noodle, Chicken fried rice & Indonesian desserts, drinks and ginger tea.The food was delicious, perfect quantity for a family of 4 and economical! (Approx. $20 per head)My personal favorites were Martabak - Beef, Chicken fried noodle & the ginger tea.I will definitely go back and try some of their other dishes.

The best grilled beef I’ve had !!! And their pastry pizza is so delicious! Large portions of food and the most amazing flavours. Very affordable prices as well. Can’t wait to try other dishes !

Love the straightforward great food. They don't look like much but they are perfectly cooked and seasoned with great flavours. No jazz or fluff. We're Malaysians but could appreciate the overlapping nuances in food culture. Hint of nostalgia here and there. P.S. The vegan tofu fried rice and vegetable bala-bala is a banger! Probably one of the best plant-based fried rice in town.

Very delicious food and desert. I felt like been transported back to Makassar, Indonesia. Very original taste. Big portion too. The staffs are very nice and polite. And most importantly, it’s Halal!! Totally recommended.

Best Martabak I’ve tasted here in Auckland for the last few decades! Wife loves their soto Makassar so that a bonus. Beef ribs soup was perfect and their Ikan Bakar is sumptuous.Highly recommend to preorder to avoid long waits.

Authentic place for Indonesian food, especially from Makassar area.I have tried grilled beef ribs and soup, beef ribs soup or konro, yellow rice or nasi kuning, fried rice, and martabak, or beef-filled pan-fried pastry. Martabak is super good, highly recommended for you to try.I also tried the desserts although not all. They have palu butung, dadar gulung and pisang ijo. More snacks are also available, like cassava chips, peanuts, risoles, pastel and more.The restaurant is not too big but spacious enough for dining in with families. It is also disability friendly and halal.The parking lot is available in front of the restaurant but it might be challenging to get the spot during rush hours.

The food was good and staff was polite but hygiene needs attention, toilet wasn't clean enough. I guess the exhausts in the kitchen weren't doing the job well, as you can feel the cooking fumes irritating your throat.

Friendly service. Asked for medium and it had a really good kick to it. Would have been nicer if the chicken was thigh meat but I understand costs these days.$19 - solid.
