I went hoping to be able to patch a hole in linen shorts. The young man I spoke to, was very helpful, confident and polite. He consulted with the lady behind and confirmed everything he has said was correct. Very pleased with the result. I can hardly tell they have been patched. When my partner collected them the next day, she specifically said the lady she dealt with was very polite. I would use again and recommend this place ! Thank you for great service!

I'm giving this place a really honest review after feeling TERRIBLE after leaving the mall. I brought in a dress to Looksmart Alterations Newmarket to get fixed because there was something wrong with one of armholes of my dress - it was asymmetrically larger than the other side. When I arrived, I felt the employees were reluctant to see me. Then, when I tried on the dress to show them the problem, they told me that there wasn't any problem with it; that i was just lifting my arm, making the armhole look big. I tried to tell them that there was something wrong because there was no problem when i lifted my other arm but it seemed like they did not listen. Then all they did was tell me that I could tighten the straps on both sides - if I wanted. The whole experience led me to feel like they did not know much about their craft, and furthermore, their attitude was reluctant, unhelpful, and judging. When I paid for the alteration, I was really doubtful, and I honestly regret following through with it. The person serving me was super apathetic-looking, he just stared at me as if there was something on my face, and wanted me to leave or something. It just felt like a very negative experience and I would never come back in my life; I'd rather pay more somewhere else to get an actual professional level of service. Do better.

The wonderful Anna that runs this alterations shop always goes above and beyond! 6 months ago I got a dress altered here and when I got home I called her to ask her to hold onto the remainder of the fabric for me. 6 months later, they’ve moved the entire contents of their store and relocated to new market mall. I didn’t even think to ask if they held onto it, but she did and ran to get it as soon as she saw me. She’s also incredible at her work and turns over alterations so quickly!

Took my little boy's school blazer in here to have the sleeves shortened. Now that he has grown, I took it to a local business to have the sleeves let down - only to find this is not possible due to the sloppy workmanship done in the first instance.I now have to buy a new blazer. Not happy at all, would never bring uniform pieces in here again.

Disappointing experience - Dates back to February, haven't gotten to post feedback til now. I had a pair of pants to be taken up - cost was double what I was quoted on the phone. Used a $10.00 off voucher and the staff member seemed to resent me for it. The end quality was not great, as it appears they had only done about 4 stitches around the hem of each leg to secure the length, which left the hem gape-y and I was able to trip into it. I was at an event wearing them and one of the few stitches came undone, meaning that about a third of the hem came loose. Not impressed for the $34 i paid - Thank goodness I didn't pay $44!

Went to get my measurements taken for a wedding outfit and the service was amazing and their expertise was super helpful! Would highly recommend.

Speechless with the unprofessional and rudeness of the service and staff!!!Went with my partner to alter her new pants. Our request is the most basic one - shorten the edges. We went at 3pm and was told to pick up at 5pm. We came at 5:05pm and found out the length for both legs are not even.The lady who did the alterations was extremely rude and unprofessional - first she said to my partner it’s because her legs may not have the same length (who would say this type of things to their customer!?) We pulled the pants up to show her and she asked my partner with a very angry attitude “how long do you want me to cut then?” We told her it’s her question as she needs to measure - she stormed inside without answering us saying she will fix it. Came out after 10mins where one leg is still longer than another!They then measured and another lady got it fixed.We arrived at 5:05pm and left at 5:55pm. And we have to pay extra parking fee because the the first staff wasted so much time!First time trying and extremely not happy about this experience and def won’t come back again!They charged $35 for this service. Def not worth at all.

Absolutely worst experience I have ever had! I went here because this place has great reviews but after my experience today I feel like they are false. I needed alterations done to a suit I bought from Barkers, I knew it was going to be a decent amount given the time required and multiple alterations required but after being told it would cost $575 for the alterations I was in shock to say the least. I went to Rose's Alterations after this to try the suit on again and have the exact same alterations done with a total coming to a very reasonable $213. Don't waste your time and money here and go and see Rose's Alterations in Epsom for the same result but much better value.
