Very clean airport. Easy & quick check in with self check in counters. You will find more cafes & food places before going into the customs, but there is a shop inside the custom as well (see my photos).

Thought we might have had some difficulties with luggage quota but managed ok. So all went well. Lady at book-in area was very helpful. Plane a little delayed leaving but think we arrived at reasonable time. Only plane I've heard the wheels grind up and down though but this didn't affect flight.

Auckland airport is clean and tidy. Far superior than most airports, but much smaller than other European and US international airports.June 2022 almost everyone is wearing masks in the terminal itself, my pictures are of the Koru lounge/restaurant.Koru lounges are avail on both sides of security in the domestic terminal. If you have access, they have food and a barista for great coffees too.The exit/entrance side of the terminal has a good range of shops for hot food from early till late. The Security side is a bit hit and miss.Security isn't too bad, I've been through a number of times and the wait is pretty short. [15mins normally, 30mins max from check in to gates] Security staff are friendly each time. They allow coffee/drinks to be taken through with you too.

My hand carry-on was 8.7kg, 1.7kg over. Was told I need to take something out. I said only laptop & they suggested I leave it at Auckland Airport. Serious!So I had to pay $65 to take it.30 years qantas club member. Never been treated so rudely before. Next time I book a Qantas flight I will make sure it is not operated by jet star.May force me to other airline.Jetstar never again

Slightly cheaper flights. I find the plane a bit worrying compared to Air NZ. Pay a little extra for the Peace of mind.Had a 4pm flight delayed to 7.30pm. Due to poor processes(no 2nd check in). The boarding was slow and we had to wait in our seats for them to unload baggage to remove 1 bag of non flying passenger. Didn't take off until 9.10. Then during service no freebies despite such a big delay. Even a snack would have been nice. You get a drink and a cookie included with Air NZ.For me this was a business flight so I didn't choose it.Always fly AirNz if you can...For the delays. There was a flood which caused traffic chaos so staff were late to the airport. AirNZ canceled the effected flights and booked passengers on later flights. Jetstar cancelled their Katerina flight and tried to our all fliers on the later flight. There were empty seats on the plane due to this and chaos because they didn't recheckin passengers.

We fly Jetstar frequently and normally have no issues. We always upgrade to include extra baggage, which also comes with a snack. We fly flew on the 1st July from Auckland to Dunedin & the system didn't show that we had selected our meals so by default we were given banana bread I politely let the staff know that we had pre selected our meal so they went and got the in flight manager her name was Sonali and she was so rude made a big scene and told us that we hadn't pre selected anything and that she was going to report us. She spoke loudly so she whole plane could hear. She should not be a manager & has zero customer service skills. The other flight crew were lovely they apologized for her behavior.

Jetstar have struck again!!A simple flight from Brisbane to Queenstown… and I have over $700 worth of stuff stolen from my checked suitcase. I had just packed it and even took photos of what I packed to be sure it wasn’t tampered with. Sure enough - when I had arrived… it had been rummaged through.I was with it from the moment I checked it in… to when it came out at the carousel. Missing an expensive watch, cologne, brand new leather belt, and a nice hoodie. The Jetstar/airport staff seem to feel our luggage is a free-for-all. I wonder if Jetstar are ever going to do anything about their horrible service and unprofessionalism … or if they’re just happy being at the bottom of the airline game as the scumbags they seem to be.Very disappointed.Never flying with them again.Stay away!!!

Worried Jetstar they would cancel the flight without reason. Real busy place people coming and going in all directions. Nonetheless the Domestic Terminal puts though lots of people. It is reasonably well laid out with large volumes of the taxis. I sometimes call taxis the seagulls of airports because of black and white and chasing the customer.
