Johanneshof is a Must Visit whenever we're in the area. Apart from the lovely location and unusual, impressive cellar, the wines are the true stars. This winemaker goes to extra lengths, including ageing their wines properly, and it really makes all the difference. It's hard to pick out just one wine, but their Gewürztraminer is seriously one of the very best, anywhere. And for a special treat, try their New Dawn sparkling Rosé.

We had a great wine-tasting experience and was impressed with the friendly owner, Edal, who took the time to explain their wines and answer our questions. We particularly enjoyed their gerwustraminer wine, and highly recommend visiting this family-owned winery!

We had such a lovely time here, Rachel, Warwick and Edel were amazing and very accomodating hosts. We did a tasting which was a fantastic experience, and I would recommend it to anyone!

Love this place and the natural way the vineyard is run. I love the native plants and also the native and not so native animals around as well it gives the place a very welcoming feel
