Travellers Autobarn Campervan Hire Auckland

We rented a Kuga for 3 weeks for North and South road trip my wife and I. Unfortunately had many issues with our first van, it was full of mould and it died 3 minutes from the depot when we first drove away. They managed to fix the electrical issue but the mould was not factored in and they refused to give us a new van on pick-up as it was not proven unsafe". About a week into our trip after a heavy rain the cab of the van clearly was leaking and pooling water and we understood the mould issue inside the van. After this incident I drove and demanded a new van at the Christchurch depot

I couldn’t think of a better way to travel the north island of NZ than in a campervan and Travellers Autobarn ticked all boxes! Great customer service and a great van all round. Highly recommend booking your road trip with them!

Didn't expect much for the price, but we were very happy, toyota Hiace camper with a high top. It ran smooth for 2600klm, slept well in it. Great drop off service in Melbourne.Want a cheap, well equipped, reliable camper holiday .... this is the best value by far

We hired a Kuga Campervan for almost 4 weeks. We loved the space inside as it was very comfortable during rainy days. We unfortunately had a mechanical issue but got quick help from the customer care of travellers autobarn.

Frustrating, costly and potentially dangerous.DO NOT BOOK WITH TRAVELLERS AUTOBARN - Snap are much better ☺️So our issues with this company began 5 minutes after picking up the car. I noticed a big chip in the windscreen (pic attached) just as we were driving away from the garage. I took a picture of this and emailed it to the garage to let them know this was a pre-existing chip. I then called the helpline to get some confirmation that we wouldn't be charged the 90 dollars we were specifically warned about for window chips when we collected the vehicle. It's impossible to get hold of the branch itself, their customer team is based in Australia (this team obviously don't know any specifics about the vehicles). After quite a long time in the evening, and again another hour or so on the phone the next morning, TA agreed we wouldn't be liable for the chip as we had let them know about it so quickly. It was clear this hadn't been logged as an existing issue with the vehicle and we would have been charged for this if we hadn't spotted it so quickly.The tyre on our car blew after 6 days (we suspect the company don't check or maintain their cars - they rely solely on customers experiencing problems with their cars and paying to fix them). We had to drive 250km on the space saver (recommended 80km mileage according to Google) searching for an oddly sized tyre" (9 garages informed us of this) and wasted a day of our trip searching for a replacement tyre. The tyre cost us a whopping 240 dollars. We contacted TA to ask for a reimbursement on a day of our trip (which we believed was reasonable as we should have been able to get a tyre replaced easily and at the first garage or two we visited

The warm welcome in Autobarn Auckland felt good. The lady listened to all questions and helped us with all our needs. For example we were given a heather and cozylights. In the cold nights we were grateful. We had a problem with the gas (empty) at the first day but through the call center we were helped.

My partner and I travelled around the north island of NZ in our travellers autobarn kuga campervan and absolutely loved it.The layout was perfect for us, we especially enjoyed the fact we had a full kitchen set up and a fridge which saved us money on food and drinks while we were travelling.They whole experience was really easy and everyone was lovely to deal with.Can’t recommend travellers auto-barn enough :)

We traveller from Christchurch to Auckland in 4 weeks with a Kuga Campervan from Travellers Autobarn, and we have to recommend them. Their price is fair (halfway between big motorhomes and smaller Campervans where we felt we wouldn’t feel that comfortable), the Campervan was very clean and had more than enough space to storage our bags, have dinner, work and sleep comfortably. It drives just like a regular car, It parks anywhere and that was also the reason we went for it and not for a larger Campervan/motorhome. The kitchen had everything so we didn’t had to buy nothing additional. Mechanically we had no problem, the camper was surprisingly stable on the road, the tires looked nearly new, the gearbox was automatic and glad we chose that. The overall experience was great, they also have a whatsapp support in case you need anything and a lot of information on their website that can help with all the planning.Hope this helps! :)

The decision of renting a campervan at Travellers Autobarn was the best ever! Especially in comparison to other companies the camper van (we’ve booked a Toyota hiace Hi5) was absolutely clean and the perfect fit for a trip of two weeks, also much longer would’ve been wonderful because the van was so comfortable in every way. Last but not least we want to thank Lay for her pleasant and caring help :)
