Excellent accommodation. Stay here if you can! High quality sleeping accommodation and facilities. Great coffee and breakfast. Debbie was a fantastic host and very friendly. Easy walk to the local eating establishment in the evening that had great food. Beautiful location and environment. Great choice on your cycle journey or needing somewhere to stay in Waipiata. Debbie has the best real coffee!

Behind the bike sheds surpassed all our expectations. Outstanding service, friendliness and genuine hospitality from 2 lovely ladies who obviously genuinely enjoy having guests. Rooms are adorable and super cozy, cute little lounge and spotlessly clean. Thoughtful touches like the hotties and pure wool blankets make this the absolute best place to stay along the Central Otago Rail Trail. Quality breakfast with homemade jams and preserved necatarines grown on the property, real coffe and conversation. Quick skip across the paddock to the Waipiata pub which serves amazing food just an added bonus. This is how counrty accommodation is really done!

Behind The Bike Shed was a fantastic experience. Debbie was a fabulous host, she was there to meet us even though we arrived early and made us very welcome. The two new rustic style cabins are in a quiet rural setting and have great views of the country side. Our family group of 5 slept very well in super comfortable beds with lovely cotton linen and fresh country air. The shower is bliss and the breakfast included home made muesli and spreads. It was the highlight accommodation of our 3 nights on the rail trail, we also enjoyed this section of the trail the most so staying at Behind The Bike Shed for a few nights and doing day trips is a great idea. It is also just a few minutes walk to the Waipiata Pub where you will get outstanding meals and hospitality. Thank you Debbie we loved our stay with you and will be back.

Best host, most personal and intimate stay of the 4 day rail trail. Nice and private too. Yummiest brekkie with home made jams and stewed fruit!

One of my favorite places I've stayed.... the sheds are adorable, very clean and updated, with nice bathrooms, and Debbie is so kind! Would recommend to anyone.

Fantastic stay in beautifully appointed, clean cabins. Comfortable beds and luxury cotton bedding. Bliss shower after our day cycling over the old Dunstan road from Alexandra. Wonderful views over the Maniototo. Debbie was the perfect friendly host who provided us with a delicious breakfast ready for our ride along the Otago Central railtrail. Highly recommended.

We absolutely loved our stay at Behind the Bike Sheds. The shed was extremely inviting after a long day of cycling - the bed was very comfortable and the coffee was delicious! We really appreciate how clean the room and bathrooms were, as well as the breakfast the next morning. We really can't recommend staying here enough!
