It's a supermarket!!! But what I did see is the same stock item in several places and numerous other items they didn't have.What is it wit Countdowns around the country and empty shelves. I never see that in the likes of Pak'n'Save or New World as much as Countdowns.Pretty hopeless and beginning to think to self stop going to countdown for anything."

Honestly the online shopping sucks if they run out of stock and they don’t put in substitutes. Shop at Paknsave instead

Very average range for all products here. No good beer selection. I don’t know why but they’re one of the few supermarkets without self checkouts and you will end up queuing down the aisle at peak times (weekday lunch, after work) while often the staff are more interested in talking to each other than providing express service.

It's a decent supermarket, like most NZ supermarkets. Location is perfect for me as it's across the road from the shared path beside the river. So if you're coming to town from Gonville or even the parts of Castlecliff that are beside the river, it's perfect. I took in my Brompton fold up bike, folded up and nobody blinked an eyelid. Not that many people in Whanganui have a Brompton, but still it makes it that much more convenient.

Impressed by freshness of fruits and vegetables, plus variety for a small town. Lacked self check out. I try not to judge stuff if I've only had one visit, but the lady we got was lovely.

They had a little issue with me order but they were super polite and helpful with us and got it sorted as soon as they could. Staff always super friendly, shop always neat. Mostly stocked up. We’ve always been pretty lucky anyway
