The Cave Taupo

Awesome experience for first timers on the VR Escape room. Very friendly, helpful staff who guided us the whole way through! Highly recommend. Thank you to the Taupo team for your awesome service and a great experience for the birthday girl!

Was my birthday weekend so partner and I had booked a table for 7 and needed to fill in the gap before dinner. So decided to try this, I was really not keen at first but we went in and the staff were so amazing even giving me a discount being my birthday. Afterwards I was so glad I ended up trying it. Big ups to your staff for helping me make the decision, were really kind and easy to talk to. you guys are awesome ❤️

Was my first time trying VR gaming here in Taupo and honestly was one of the highlights of my whole trip to NZ.Whilst the VR is obviously incredible (try the pistol whip game, you’ll feel super cool) the real stars of the show are the awesome guys working there.Having loved the experience so much at The Cave Taupo, I tried a different VR place down in Queenstown and it couldn’t have been more different.Trust me, the customer service, personality of staff and how they interact with you as you are gaming makes a HUGE difference. The guys at The Cave were so friendly, welcoming and had a great sense of humour.Long story short, if you’re looking to try VR, absolutely go to The Cave in Taupo. You won’t regret it!(and avoid Thrillzone in Queenstown, but that’s another story!)

The Cave is so amazing!! We did a VR escape room and it was so interactive. The host stays with you the whole time, Ash was funny and such a good support if needed. The facilities are so nice, well set up and clean.We will be back!!

Super fun way to spend some time! My friend had never tried VR before and was surprised how much she liked it. The intro tutorial was a great time, the staff was friendly, patient, and fun! I will gladly do a VR escape room next time, very curious!!!! They have an Alice in Wonderland themed one.

Very fun! Our group was a mix of experience levels, and some were skeptical about trying VR at all. The hosts did a great job if guiding us, and by the end everyone found a game they liked.

We've had several visits to the case, it was my sons third and my second. All been really good experiences, the hosts do a great job to guide you through the instructions and then also give you feedback through the experience. Super friendly staff, great space and a lot of fun. Thank you to the staff that work there.

SO much fun! Really cool equipment and the staff there are amazing - they made the experience that much better!The staff helped us pick what escape room/experience we wanted to do based on what we were hoping to get from our session.I did Beyond Medusa's Gate with my partner and it was a great choice for our first VR game as it had a little bit of everything (puzzle solving, climbing and archery!).I was in Taupō for work on a Friday morning and looking for something to do in the afternoon before driving back to Tauranga. Came across the posters for The Cave while at The Landing in Taupō, went in for a look and couldn't be happier that we did! Ended up booking the rest of my family in for a session the next day at the Papamoa studio!
