Quiet nice place to relax and swim. We had lunch there and a little walk. There a nice walkway too.

Pleasant sandy river beach and jetty on the mighty Waikato awa, great for a dip and bombing if you're not out too deep and stay clear of any strong currents. Nice grassy park and public toilets.

Nice spot, good for a little swim as long as you don't go out too far in to the current. Very child friendly with playground right at the top of the hill, and public toilets are provided.

Wellington Street Beach
A beautiful place of paramount cultural importance. The area needs recognition of Maori land rights, so the devision can end. The waikato river needs to be fully restored, and a vague 90-year plan with no teeth is not a real solution. The area sits upon multiple Natural springs, which are buried. The mains water is full of toxic chemicals. Thanks.
